Can these treats be broken down to give smaller portions at a time?

This has garlic powder as an ingredient. Isn't garlic powder toxic to canines? Why is this an ingredient?

Many people believe that garlic is harmful to dogs, and in large, concentrated doses this can be true. However, in the proportions used, it is highly beneficial to heart health, acts as a natural flea repellent, an antioxidant and anti-bacterial ingredient. Just like with humans, many things are healthy (and indeed necessary) in small doses but potentially harmful in large, concentrated doses. Garlic is valued for its anti-oxidant properties, as well as its enjoyable flavor.

Horrible smell

I have been buying this Wellness treats for my dogs and used to be their flavorist treat but not any more. I'm not sure if it changed the formula, the smell was

I have been buying this Wellness treats for my dogs and used to be their flavorist treat but not any more. I'm not sure if it changed the formula, the smell was so strong that my dogs turned around immediately when I opened the bags. I am so disappointed. If the formula changed, please restore the original one. Smell horrible, not even one bit from my dogs.

I started buying the Wellness Soft Puppy Bites when my dog was a few months old. Four years later, they’ve become a staple in our house. They’re easily breakable so I can easily give my dog a little piece when I want to treat her. She’s a very small dog and I don’t want her to put on weight so these are perfect. She’s loves the taste and I love how happy they make her.

Doxies are famous for bad teeth and Manny has not changed that status. He loves these and eats them workout any struggles. If you have a senior dog with teeth/gum issues, give these a try!

My puppy loves these and every ingredient is recognizable! Initially, I cut the treats into six tiny pieces to use for training - more rewards out of one bite, and he will do anything for just that little nibble. The texture is soft but chewy and he likes that too - my only concern is that one out of six bags was rather hard (as though it was old and stale) and I am hoping it is an anomaly - time will tell.

The only reason I haven’t bought more is because of the smell, but he does like them, so maybe I will buy another bag. They are an appropriate size treat for a puppy and they are soft.
