I have two senior dogs, a Rottie and a Chocolate Lab and this food did not work for us at all. I transitioned them from Purina Pro Plan because my Lab was having allergies, thinking it was the food, I looked into Wellness. After gradually switching this still did NOT agree with their tummies. Even after three weeks they were still having diarrhea and gas that could clear a room. With two large dogs it was NOT fun. For some reason it REALLY did not agree with my Rottie Hank because he was also occasionally throwing it up undigested. One plus was they did seem to like the flavor because they gobbled it. I wanted this to work but we will be transitioning back to Purina Pro Plan.
My dog has a sensitive stomach and I have used Wellness dog foods in the past but this particular food made my dog sick. She recovered after about 5 days after being taken off of this food.
I like the product. We switch back and forth between the chicken and fish for our PWD with a delicate constitution. The bag is 22 pounds, not 24 pounds as stated in the description.
I have two boxers and one has really bad gas and runny stools no matter what food we try and this helped him so much! He hasn’t farted in a while, that we’ve noticed lol and his poops are slowly getting more solid. We just started it and hoping it stays this way. I see it does not work for some dogs on here but I took a risk because of the good reviews and it worked! Highly Recommend this. Results may vary though haha
Although listed as "Digestive Health", after a week of feeding I've seen no difference. Also, it may just be the food but it smells almost rancid yet in date for another 9 months.
I've been trying to find a good dry food for my Rottie, who often has gas and loose stool. I had been using Rachel Ray's 6 ingredient food and he did okay but I thought the kibble smelled like chemicals... wanted a better quality kibble. This looked and smelled better but my dog's gas is outrageously bad, noxious, and he's had diarrhea since starting on this food. Not a good fit for my boy.
My dog’s digestion has been pretty up and down during the time we’ve had her, but since starting this food, we’ve seen a major increase in consistently healthy bowel movements. She also seems to like it okay. She doesn’t truly love any dry kibble, but she eats this willingly with some dog safe beef broth added. It’s our new go-to.
MY LITTLE GIRL LIKES HER FOOD , Not sure about weight loss yet to early to tell.
One of our dogs was having very loose stool, so we got this for him. Sadly, it did not help at all - in fact, it maybe worsened the issue even after very gradually switching fully to it. (In the end, switching him to a generic high-tier kibble from a large retailer cured his soft stool. I wanted to use quotes, but for some dumb reason Chewys review platform does not allow them.) However, this kibble did not seem to impact our other dog digestive health either way, so I would call this pretty mediocre.
Great quick service!
