My 5 year old cockapoo I believe has a sensitive stomach (never been diagnosed, but would have days of loose stool, eating grass to relieve stomach, loud noises coming from her tummy, etc) so I switched her to Nutro and she did better, but she would have a bad tummy day once a week, whereas my other dog (goldendoodle) has and continues to have no issues with Nutro. That is when I deemed my cockapoo to have a sensitive tummy. Since feeding her this she has not had one bad tummy day in 2 months and has normal poop. I have to keep it away from my goldendoodle as she will eat this sometimes (when I’m not looking) and will have gnarly diarrhea for days. Overall recommend for those who have a dog with a sensitive stomach as this has truly helped her!
Please, please, please don't ever discontinue this! This is the very FIRST time in a year that our dog has had solid, normal poop. When it says highly digestible for sensitive tummies...it means it! I can't explain the relief to finally be on a food that has NO chicken or egg, that actually produces normal poop. It has been a very long year for us (and for our dog) and I look forward to putting this food on auto ship and never having to worry about her digestion ever again. YAY!
Our adopted basenji came to us with gastritis some years ago. We only feed "premium" kibble, but occasionally the gastritis stuck again. And he was a picky eater. This food changed everything almost immediately. No digestive problems and he's no longer "picky," waiting close by for his 2 meals/day. We are so happy that our dear boy is now so well and loving his food. We use mostly this variety, but also the vegetarian with egg.
I really wanted this to work for Apollo, I liked the ingredients far more than Hills. However, his stools are loose and has become VERY gassy, even did very slow transition. So back to Blue Buffalo Basics or will try Hills after all.
my dog was very picky at first but im glad I found something that she likes .. she is an 80 lb german shepherd.
We switched to Whitefish after our dog got bored with his other Wellness Core Turkey & Chicken food. It has been a great change for him! He licks the bowl clean and has better poops. Just be prepared for the slight fishy smell that comes from the bag.
5 stars! Amazing ingredients and dogs coats and energy level is outstanding! Love that there is also 1200 MG of glucosamine for their joints.
I tried so many brands of dog food; other food made her stool runny. I gave this food a try…omg! What a difference!! With her sensitive stomach, this food is excellent, for her!
My dog has an extremely sensitive stomach. This food has really helped so much! I'm very sad that Wellness did away with the whitefish bowl boosters, I'm hoping they don't do away with this food, as my dog really needs it. Nothing else seems to agree with him, especially other proteins. It's great that there is not chicken snuck into the ingredients in this food.
My pup had horrible digestive issues when I adopted her. After trying numerous brands and vet visits, I came back to Wellness. She has been on it for about 2 years and is doing great! I get so many compliments on her coat and the healthy shine!
