Transition Instructions

The best way to transition your pet onto a new food is to gradually introduce the food by mixing it with the old diet (starting by mixing 90% old with 10% new and increase new by 10% each day until the bowl is full of only Wellness). Mixing the food will allow your pet to acclimate to the new taste and not overindulge on the new food.

When food transition is not an option, there are a few ways to ensure a good transition:

Feed multiple, smaller volume meals. This will decrease the likelihood of over-consumption and provide for a more consistent, firm stool. Add clean warm water to the food to help soften it. Add a digestive aid such a boiled brown rice or sugar-free canned pumpkin.

    Love this food!

    By on

I've tried a few different Wellness CORE foods and all of them are great but my dog definitely likes this one the best. If I try to switch it up he acts pretty disinterested. His coat also has a nice healthy shine!

    Found something that works

    By on

I have finally found a dog food that works for my GSD who has a intolerance to chicken. When she was diagnosed w/a chicken intolerance (after multiple tests) she was prescribed Hills Science Diet ZD. That worked for a yr and a half and then she began to regurgitate that often...too often. I researched everything under the sun and tried several brands and finally tried WC. She has been on this for over a year and has been doing well.

    Poultry Free

There are very few dog foods without some sort of poultry & eggs . My dog just loves this food. She’s more active & appears happy like a pup.

    Rottiegirls

    By on

Wellness Core is one of the 10 best dog foods, according to Whole Dog Journal. I did a trust but verify, by researching their claim. Rotties can be picky and have digestive issues. I tried several brands and have concluded, Wellness Core ( all flavors) is the one for my girls. They thrive on the balanced formula and have no issues. Their coats are shiny, muscles are supported, and they love it. I mix the kibble with the Wellness Core caned food. I get a 4 paws up from my Rottiegirls and my Vet for their good health.

Best food for dog with food Allergies

    By on

My Lab seems to be allergic to everything (chicken, beef and potatoes) and almost every product out there has chicken/poultry (poultry could have chicken so stay away) or beef by products. This is the first food my dog has not had a horrible reaction to. I am so excited to share this food with our vet. It has been a long year of finding the right product.

    Great food!

    By on

My dogs really enjoy this food. It has mad their coats softer. One of my dogs has allergies, this food works wonders for her. Despite unpopular opinion, I believe in changing up our dogs' diet from brand to brand. This ensures less nutrient deficiency, and after regularly switching between 3 brands, my dogs seem healthier (manifested both in their coats and processed food)

CORE IS GOOD TO MY PUP!

    By on

My dog loves this stuff! So much so I had to get her a slow feeder bowl. lol .....It makes her fur silky soft and she's stopped chewing her ears and paws! I think she was allergic to the food I've been given her for the past year.

    Well received!

    By on

I recently had to change dog food. My one dog is allergic to both chicken and potatoes. As you can imagine it wasn't easy to find a food without both of those ingredients, that ALSO included Taurine ( needed for my other dog). They are enjoying this food very much and so far no negative reactions by anyone. They've made the switch over the past two months and are solely on the Lamb Wellness Core now.
