Human Food Standards

Weruva pet foods are made in a state-of-the-art human food facility that caters to many countries, each with its own processing standards. Weruva proudly earned an “A” grade on The British Retail Consortium (BRC), which is one of the strictest standards.

Specifically Formulated for Feline

Cats are obligate carnivores, which means they only need meat and water to survive. All Weruva recipes are formulated with this in mind. The calories in each recipe come from three places: protein, fat and carbohydrates. The calories from meat are comprised of protein and fat with minimal, if any, calories coming from carbohydrates.

Is Weruva & ingredients made in the USA?

Sick cat loves it

The bad news is, this cat food is very expensive, especially considering that there's so much water in it that it's practically chicken soup! However, I give it five stars because my old cat, who is sick with either IBS or cancer, loves it and I give it to her as a treat when she takes her pill. She likes it just as well as fresh baked chicken, and this is more nutritious than fresh chicken because it's formulated for cats.

I wished my cats would of liked it

I bought this because description said it was chunks and turns out it is shreds which my cats don't like. I tried mixing it with their other wet food but they would not eat it. I paid a lot for this food thinking they would love it since it was chicken . They won't eat shreds and my feral cats will only eat pate. . The description of this food online has to be change from chunks to shreds.

High quality and cat loves it

This food got a very high rating on All About Cats, and my cat likes it more than most foods. I am making this food, along with Wellness canned pates, my main foods for her. I like to have a variety of high quality canned foods for her, rather than just one food. So many foods are suddenly impossible to get, so it seems wiser to have a variety in her diet. If one or two foods are not available, she still is used to the others. Overall, this is one of the best foods all around. There are one or two Weruva flavors she does NOT like, but this one is a hit.

Kitty Approves!

We are switching over to Weruva wet food from Blue, etc and our cat just loves it. This is the first wet food I've encountered that actually smells edible, that smells like real meat/poultry. I appreciate that I can purchase the larger 12-oz cans in packs, which makes this more cost-effective, but I wish the case quantities came in flavor varieties to mix it up a bit.

Very good!

I had to find a replacement for Tiki Cat brand because it was out of stock. I chose Weruva and it turned out to be very similar and my cats enjoyed it.

Good quality, cats love it

The chicken in here actually looks like real chicken! It's nice to see a cat food that actually looks like real meat and makes me feel like I am giving my cats something that is good for them. There is a lot of meat in this can and the gravy it comes in is nice and light and also appears more healthy than other brands gravy. My two cats took to it right away!

cats love this, most real cat food

My cats only like the food that is real shredded chicken (they love this food and the tiki cat chicken). This is real shredded chicken and doesn’t have the horrid smell most cat food has. Kinda pricey but good stuff.

Not a crowd favorite

Unfortunately not a favorite for my three cats, except for one of them who finished his dish AND his brother's. Even our most gluttonous and youngest cat didn't love it and walked away with his dish more than half full. Sad I bought a full case...

chicken wet food

My Bengals like the Paw Lickin' Chicken, but it would be better if pieces of chicken cut to smaller bits for them. They are not very big cats.

Paw Lickin CHicken

My cat liked it, and was able to digest it, which is huge for him. He's had terrible food allergies since he was a kitten. I usually get Tiki Cat Puka Luau, which I actually prefer because there is more meat, and less juice. The Weruva has a lot of gravy.
