  • Loving our Whistle Tracker!

We received our Whistle Tracker in the mail a week ago for our Kitty. At first, we were afraid it was too big and heavy for him but he hasn't complained about it being hooked on his collar. We live in an area where we worry about him wandering too far and getting into trouble with local fox, dogs, mountain lions or cars driving too fast. This has given us complete piece of mind. We made the "home" range as small as the device would allow. I wish it didn't require the "home" range at all. We are now able to sit at home with piece of mind until we see he has wandered farther than our comfort allows. • buyer beware

the first time I used, it fell off my dog while he was bird hunting in heavy cover. It was transmitting at the time, so it was obviously attached correctly. Even though they claim to have a "90 day risk free guarantee" they refused to replace it. Terrible customer service, and fraudulent guarantee. Plus, the tracking function of the ap is archaic. It will show your dog's location, but not your own. Might come in handy if your dog gets lost in an urban environment where you can track bt street names, but if they are out in the wilderness, forget about it.

  • No signal to tracker.

    By on

The tracker does not receive the gps signal in my area. My dog took off 35 min ago and I still have no idea where she is. I have no doubt this device works as it should, just no signal in my area. Advertised as largest cellular network but I'm not sure about that. Will return for a refund.

  • Second whistle, love it!

    By on

Our dog, Rosie is an escape artist. She's been known to pop the screen off of the second story window and climb down. This amazing device lets me know if she leaves the yard and then tells me exactly where she's at. It's extremely accurate and easy to use. It also calculates how much exercise she's getting every day. I can't put a price on Rosie, but I'm thrilled that I found a device that helps me monitor her health and protect her safety.

  • Keeping track of my baby

    By on

Love that i have piece of mind when im not home or my baby is in the yard. Also i like that it tells me how active she has been while im not home. Lets me know how long her walk should be at night. I would love it more if it was similar to my fitbit where i could join competitions or get doggy tips. Overall i chose this over the fitbark for the gps tracking.

Our dog is microchipped, and has never gotten out. However I was very concerned that someone might open the gate and she might escape and I wouldn't even know where to start looking for her. (Even if somebody did find her they still would need to bring her to a vet or an animal shelter in order for her to have the microchip scanned. I was afraid that she might get lost in a wooded area and never be found. Or that somebody may find her and keep her as their own pet.) This GPS tracker has given me peace of mind. The unit itself needs to be charged for about an hour every 3 days. It lasts a long time and it's very secure on her harness. I am extremely happy with this purchase, and if we ever get a second dog, I will definitely buy another whistle tracker. … more

  • Energetic GSP

    By on

We have a 5yr old German Shorthair who loves to hunt. We run her 4-5 days a week, minimum. BUT, that is not enough for her, so she jumps the fence to run and hunt more. She comes immediately when called, so we did not want to use a shock collar, but we needed to know when she escapes. The Whistle works perfectly for that purpose. Make sure you have good cell coverage in the areas where you will use this. Chewy's shipping was fast, and free for my item. Got it in 2 days, as promised.

  • She's a wanderer.....

    By on

So happy I bought this. My dog loves to take walks by herself. Now I get an alert when she leaves the wifi zone at the house. It's perfect. If she gets away I can track her movements by the minute. My last dog was the same. I've spent hours searching. Now, I can find this one within minutes. Battery life is about eight days for me. It tracks her movements in the house and gives me useful info about her habits and diets. I love all the info on the app. Multiple family members can track the same device. I'm completely satisfied with this purchase and recommend it to everyone.

  • Can't Wait For Her To Run Off Again

We rescued a Siberian Husky not knowing their propensity to wander off on there own. One minute she is there next us and the next minute gone on a walk about the neighborhood. • Lacks Key Features That Should Be Standard & Misleading Marketing

    By on

I bought this device off the assumptions I made from their marketing. I suppose I should have read the fine print. Problem 1) Monthly subscription required after you go to activate device Problem 2) You don't have reasonable control over safe zones. They give you a standard diameter that encoimpasses the entire block my house is on. You cannot make a smaller safe zone. So I won't be alerted until after my dog has left my neighborhood. Problem 3) Battery life is poor Problem 4) Customer service is aware of the shortfalls yet can provide no ETA n any improvements
