Mix with Finch Blend in Finch Feeder
I mix this with the Finch Blend (Nyjer and chopped sunflower) and put it in my finch feeder. Finches are notoriously picky about their food being fresh. My finches love this mixture! Adding these fine sunflower chips helps me get more mileage out of my finch blend food, saving me some money and means I don't have to change the food in the feeder as often. Win-win in my opinion.
Attracts more desirable wild birds
This was my first purchase of this brand of sunflower chips and it probably won't be my last. I use it in a mesh-type tube feeder for my backyard wild birds and so far, I'm seeing downy woodpeckers, white-breasted nuthatches, Caroline chickadees, and tufted titmice frequenting this feeder. House sparrows and starlings try to eat from it, but the small openings in the mesh feeder just frustrates them. I put out larger sunflower chips and whole seeds for the cardinals and blue jays, but then I get less-desirable birds too. This product comes in a good size bag for my needs and the seed is clean. I could get this seed at a wild bird supply store, but this saves me the drive since I order regularly from Chewy anyway.

The sunflower chips are finer than I would like -- the birds can devour them much faster than the medium chips. I'm refilling my feeder three times a day.
No waste is great
These are great for all the little finches, that seem to struggle trying to eat those full size sunflower chips. Plus I don't see any waste.
WILD DELIGHT SUNFLOWER CHIPS
TERRIBLE PRODUCT! The "kernals" are so fine they are akin to sand. I know of no bird feeder that will contain them.

I am so happy with the quality of the fine sunflower chips! The only thing that could possibly make them better is if they were bagged in 10 or 20 pound bags. I go through a lot of fine bird seed, mainly sunflower chips and thistle seed with my crowd of pine siskins. I love the friendly little guys so like to serve them what they like best. Thank you Chewy for offering the fine sunflower chips. They are hard to find!

Birds Disappointed
Unfortunately, the birds in my neighborhood are not overly fond of my selection. However, not to worry, my family of squirrels positively loves it. So it's not going to waste.
