    Perfect Bird Feed

By Chickadee on Apr 10, 2021

This bird seed really does keep squirrels away! And it is hulled or chopped up in such a way to eliminate waste -- so half the food doesn't end up on the ground. It also seems to last longer than other feed I've used -- birds love it but a little bit seems to go a long way. The stupid squirrels run up the tree with a mind to plundering the feeder, get about 12 inches away & high-tail it off, clearly repulsed by the 'hot' !!

    Works like a champ!

By JayJay on Apr 1, 2021

We have many squirrels and they now don’t even look at our feeders now. Young ones will try once and not ever again. Well worth the cost.

    Squirrels are adapting

By Seamusmom on Feb 23, 2021

When I first purchased this product it worked wonderfully. But the squirrels seem to be adapting and are not as repelled by the hot pepper. Darn squirrels!

    Unimpressed

By Oilgig on Nov 28, 2020

I bought this in hopes of minimizing squirrels but they still love it. It is very nice birdseed and they feed on it but the squirrels are just too persistent. They eat all the sunflower seeds leaving none for the birds. Even if one gets a hot seed he leaves for a few minutes but comes right back. Squirrels never give up. They do leave the suet cakes alone though.

Not such a squirrel deterrent after all

By Bellavip on Nov 22, 2020

It started out the first couple of times to keep squirrels away. But we have 3 very determined squirrels who battled through the spicy taste and now developed an immunity to it. They love it just as much as the birds. It seemed a good idea at first but back to buying regular bird seed AND backing to the drawing board.

    Surprise, squirrels!

By Skeexix on Jan 7, 2021

The birds seem indifferent to the change and like this as well as any seed - but the squirrels literally jumped when they first tried it and went off to seek other goodies

    Too much millet

    By Maureda1 on Dec 14, 2020

This chili powder in this seed did not deter the squirrels but really bothered me. There is also alot of waste due to the abundance of undesirable seeds like millet.

My Birdseed No Longer Brings All the Squirrels to the Yard

    By noluv4squirrels on Sep 4, 2020

Filled my squirrel-proof bird feeder with black sunflower seeds and I turned my yard into an all-you-can-eat buffet for both birds and squirrels. The birds would spill 3X as much as they ate to help out their little squirrel friends below (I watched them to this). Not cool! Plus they went through 5 lbs. of seed in 3-4 days. Ordered Wild Delight and now I have fewer but more interesting looking birds that are not gorging themselves or being wasteful. No going through ten pounds of seed per week. Best of all this product ended the squirrel visitations. Hooray! My birdseed no longer brings all the squirrels to the yard. And they're like, it's better than yours.
