First the cons- small bag of individually wrapped treats, each treat can be split into about 3 small pieces to form around your pills. The treats themselves are a bit on the dry side, which is why they are individually wrapped, I'd imagine. The pros I guess are that they are individually wrapped so they won't completely dry out too easy- they smell pretty good for a dog treat - like really gourmet. At first my dog loved them. But by the time I bought them again, she refused. She's on about 10 pills in the morning and 8 at night for her heart disease, so getting her to take pills has been a nightmare. I've tried just about everything. I think these are a good, but somewhat expensive product. I still think this is a good product and would recommend them if you only have to give pills to your pet occasionally.… more
good & bad
on Sep 23, 2021
The good: it’s the only pill pocket I’ve found that doesn’t contain chicken, so it’s good for my dog that’s allergic to chicken.
The bad: There is no hole?? Why? You have to force the pill through it. Also, each pill pocket inside the bag is individually wrapped with plastic. SUPER disappointing. Not eco friendly at all, and more time consuming.
I only continue buying these for my dog with a chicken allergy. If I find another brand that offers non-chicken, then I will definitely be switching to a new one. If they’d remove the wrapping for each pill & create a hole, I’d be happy with it.
Winner winner, NO chicken dinner!

Needed an alternative to Pill Pockets that didn't contain chicken due to my dog's allergies. He absolutely LOVES these. I use one each morning (half the individually wrapped pack) and haven't noticed the other treat drying out too badly; I can still easily shove the pill in and form the treat around it.
Didn't work for my fur baby

My dog can avoid a pill like the plague. I tried a few times with this and she just spit the pill out each time. I liked the fact they are individually wrapped as I wouldn't use them daily and they would be like bricks soon enough, if not packaged that way. My girl knows how to avoid pills. The only way I have been able to give her pills with out shoving it down her throat is w/ peanut butter. I can buy a BIG jar of peanut butter and she gets her meds with no issues for what these cost. Not worth my time or money. But then, your dogs not mine. So take a chance. May work for you.
The worst pill pockets I have ever used!

I absolutely hated this product. What kind of pill pocket treat does not have a hole in the middle for the pill to fit in it? I don't care how natural the ingredients are if the product itself sucks. Would never buy this again!
The MILKBONE PILL POCKETS ARE SO MUCH BETTER FOR HALF THE PRICE :)
Lincoln loves them!

Dogs take pills without fuss

Dogs seem to love them. Only draw back for small pills and partials, they are a bit firm to push into. I break them in half and squish the pills into the softer internal layer and then fold together.
I’ve not used for long enough yet to determine if any tummy effects.

Wasn't sure about purchasing this as I have always purchased Greenies. My dog loves these.
great for pills

We had to treat our puppy with some pills, and these did a great job of making sure she took her medicine. I really appreciate that they come wrapped in packs of two, since that helps them stay fresh when you only need to give them occasionally.
