will it be too much heat of I only have about 3 gallons of water in the tank?

We would recommend the Zoo Med 25 watt Paludarium heater for a 3 gallon tank instead. With that small amount of water, the Turtletherm heater will be fluctuating on and off more often.
Can this heater be used in an outdoor turtle pond?

would this heater work in a half filled 125 gallon tank with map turtles?

The 100W heater is suitable for up to 30 gallons of water. The 150W heater is suitable for up to 50 gallons of water. The 300W heater is suitable for up to 100 gallons of water.
Can this be used for brackish/saltwater

This heater can be used in brackish water. It is recommended to periodically clean the heater with white vinegar to help remove some of the mineral and salt deposits to keep the heater well maintained.

Keeps my turtle tank warm!

I was nervous to purchase at first due to poor reviews, but I found this to be a quality product! I have a 300 gallon Rubbermaid stock tank for my 2 large red eared sliders. I only keep it full to about 100 gallons, and this heater been keeping the temp between 78-80 F consistently. Safe, dependable, works well, and turtles are comfortable and happy!

not yet boiling turtles!

heater is supposed to be pre set for a max temp of 78 degrees. this zoo med heater has been fluctuating in temperature between between 85-78 since initial installation.this unit does shut down within this range of temperatures. the turtles seem to be enjoying the newly elevated temps and are feeding much better.

Stopped working altogether after a month. Won't buy again.

Brakes easily..

Broke after less then a month of using it....just stopped Turing on
