100% Safe, Gentle and Easy
Because Zymox formulas are made with 100% naturally derived enzymes from dairy, they are safe for anytime use, both for immediate soothing relief and to prevent infections. The powerful enzymes work to eliminate problem single-celled organisms such as bacteria, fungi and yeast, while leaving healthy cells untouched. This means no irritations for your pal!
Enzyme-Based and Antibiotic-Free
Zymox products use a patented, gentle formulation that combines three potent, naturally occurring enzymes—lactoperoxidase, lysozyme and lactoferrin—that are sourced from milk products. These enzymes are proven to work together to eliminate the source of infection on your pet, without any toxins or antibiotics that can irritate or cause antibiotic resistance.
Zymox was founded in 1998 by Pamela Bosco, who sought to change the way that people treated and managed ear, oral and skin infections with a safer alternative to antibiotics. Enlisting the help of her brother—a scientist that developed the enzyme technology in Biotene—Bosco formulated a powerful enzyme-based solution to help treat infections in dogs, cats and horses with no toxins, chemicals or antibiotics. Committed to keeping all four-legged pals healthy, they offer USA-made and sourced products to treat, soothe and protect against bacterial and fungal infections gently and 100% naturally.
This product mentioned that you can use it to treat ringworm, but don't! It's NOT an antifungal and while I will admit it's of a quality that does lessen the appearance of ringworm symptoms, it's NOT going to get rid of it on its own. I was using the cream while waiting to receive my prescriptions from my vet to treat the ringworm and I will admit that I saw vast improvements in the appearance of the ringworm after the first two days of using it twice a day which means it probably would do wonders on basically any other skin irritation.

My cat Moonstar had a hot spot and hair loss in a spot by his tail
It was about half an inch deep and itched like mad. It cleared up in 3 days! It soothed the insane itch so he quit licking it and the fur grew back. If it gets licked by your cat its nontoxic. If I'd taken him to the vet it'd have been super expensive. HIGHLY recommend this.
Belly irritation from excessive licking
on Oct 26, 2020
I used this along with the cortisone spray on my cats belly that he kept licking excessively and was oozing some and sore but was not infected. After about two weeks it’s almost no sore and he’s not licking it and it started to heal about one week in. I put it on a cotton ball and put it on the affected area.
Cleared the ringworm right up!

My cat had ringworm at the base of his tail, and twice a day for a week I applied the lotion to the infected area, and by the end of the week his fur was back to normal!
Another win from Zymox!

I'm obsessed with the Zymox Otic ear treatment and have come to trust the Zymox brand. My dog was at the beach and came home with black fly bites on his belly, and my cat has what looks like a tiny patch of ringworm on his face. I asked the vet about this Zymox cream and she said ingredient-wise it's safe and should be effective against a broad range of skin issues, cuts, etc. I like that it's a small tube as I don't know how often we'll need it, and am really happy that the expiration date isn't until February 2023. I'd say this is more of an "ointment" texture than a cream. It's kind of a gel consistency (not as thick as bacitracin, but not watery) and I didn't notice any fragrance. 2x perI'm obsessed with the Zymox Otic ear treatment and have come to trust the Zymox brand. Neither pet seems bothered by it and I like that it's safe to ingest as my dog tends to lick everything. Glad to have this versatile product on-hand as my pup lives hard and plays hard so he's prone to scrapes, cuts, etc. and this product will work for many situations.… more
It really works!

My pup had gotten a scar and I was worried if it would be there permanently. This item promises re-growth of fur and it absolutely works! Give it the time required (2 weeks), and you’ll see changes after the first week! Even after the 2 weeks, I’ve been using it and it seems to grow back faster!
zymox is safe and effective

My cats got ringworm from a new vet(wont be going there again!) I am using zymox to treat them and it is doing a great job on clearing this problem up. Also, I keep the cones of shame(which I also purchased from Chewy.com) on them for a few hours after applying the zymox on the ringworm effected areas, but take it off to let them be cats. They do try to lick it off, of course, and so far it has not made them sick at all. Just like the package says-safe even if licked by pets. Thanks zymox and chewy.com for a great product.
Helped with ringworm

One of my kittens had a scaly patch on his paw and I think it was ringworm, don’t know for sure. Well I stated putting some of this on his paw, just a tiny amount hoping he didn’t lick it off. I rubbed it in real well so as to get it under the fur, the patch went away after a couple of weeks. I hope this stuff is not poisonous but he seems alright and if he did lick it off he only got a tiny amount ingested. Maybe ask your vet.

Fixed crusty ears

My kitten had some mystery ear edge dermatitis, I didn’t know what caused it, and I sure wasn’t going to pay 50 plus dollars to go to a vet just to most likely get this cream from the vet themselves, overpriced. I bought Zymox and after just a few days, applied twice daily, his ears cleared up and are now back to normal. I have before and after pictures. His paws were beginning to have some weird red flecks show through from under his white mittens and that was treated and now gone too. Great enzymatic skin cream, I would buy again.
