When used as directed it is safe for cats, dogs and humans. This spray is not intended to be used directly on pets or humans.

This killed one of my cats.

I can not say how upset I am with this product. One of my rescue cats had fleas, and brought them into the house. In an attempt to get rid of the fleas, I purchased this product. I followed the directions to the letter and after spraying vacated the area for at least an hour. I found out the hard way one hour is not enough time to completely dry. Apparently this product remained damp on some blankets my cat Tazzy used to sleep in. Tazzy must have got some of this on him and within a few hours he was gone. When I researched this product I learned it is highly toxic to cats, and there is no antidote. I really think Chewy should warn people purchasing this product not to use around cats. I lost a truly wonderful cat.

I first ordered this with my autoship order and it got crushed by the food. I told customer service and they made it right of course and sent me a new one. Both times it was packaged in a bag to help prevent any spillage. I think this works. We didn't have an infestation (and we do use topical preventatives) but we do have a lot of feral cats outside that my neighbor feeds and I've noticed they bring fleas and lice to the yard. I wanted to spray this on the outdoor furniture and doormats to make sure nothing stuck around. I haven't seen any parasites since so I think it's working. The smell isn't offensive and it dries after a while. I left the area after spraying and allowed it to set in. I will be sharing this with my family members with dogs outside in the summer so their outdoor bedding can be protected for a long time. The bottle says it stays effective for months. I'll put that to the test next warm season. So far so good!

At its worst, the fleas would swarm and cover my ankles whenever I walked into the room. Just one application, one time, made a tremendous difference. Check it out!

Don’t waste your money on flea shampoo or sprays for your house. Dawn dish soup kills fleas. A bath using the original Dawn dish soap kills fleas. The soap takes away their protective layer and the water drowns them. Get a spray bottle, fill with water, Dawn dish soap, and spray rugs, couch, curtains, ect. Let dry on its own, like at night before you go to bed. When you wake up, vacuum, repeat the next night if you need to. I’m so over corporations, vets, these people over charging. Telling us we need to use and buy products because it puts money in their pockets. When less expensive ways are out there.

I purchased this to spray inside my doorway, which is carpeted. I feed Ferrells outside my door and although I do apply topical to them, Istill wanted more precaution

I purchased this to spray inside my doorway, which is carpeted. I feed Ferrells outside my door and although I do apply topical to them, Istill wanted more precaution for my cats. Being that they are indoors only I don’t like to use chemicals on them so I end trying to just keep that area pest free. I’ve never had an issue before, but I’m not looking to have an issue now so this purchased basically as a preventative.
