How do I apply Advantage Multi for Dogs?
Do not apply to irritated skin.
- Remove one dose applicator tube from the package.
- While holding the tube in an upright position, remove the cap from the tube.
- Turn the cap over and push the other end of the cap onto the tip of the tube.
- Twist the cap to break the seal and then remove cap from the tube.
- The dog should be standing for application. Part the hair on the back of the dog between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible.
For dogs weighing 20 lbs. or less, place the tip of the tube on the skin and apply the entire contents directly on the exposed skin at one spot between the shoulder blades. Life saver!
By Happycustomer on Jan 26, 2021
We adopted a dog from a shelter in the south. When she came to us she had a horrible case of hookworms! We tried every kind of dewormer but she kept coming back positive for hookworms. Our vet finally recommended trying this for something different. We treated her with this and FINALLY got a negative fecal!!!!! This product was truly a life saver for us. Would definitely recommend to treat those pesky parasites! Thank u advantage multi and chewy!!!!!

Used as part of Slow Kill method
By Shire2019 on Dec 11, 2020
We use this prevention along with Doxycycline (given quarterly) as part of our slow kill method for heartworm positive seniors. It is very effective when administered properly. We continue to use it as a preventive once the slow kill process has been completed. Great product.

Horrible service from chewy
By kat32192 on Nov 9, 2020
I tried to request this product 4 separate times from Chewy. My vets information is on file, yet somehow, they always end up contacting a completely different vet who, of course, would be unable to approve the script. It doesnt matter if you do this order online or over the phone, Chewy will screw it up! Took 3.5 weeks of back and forth while my dogs were dealing with fleas, one who has an allergy to them. Ended up taking my business elsewhere so my dogs could get the coverage they needed, i suggest you do the same.

As a Non Profit Animal Shelter we always have to watch the bottom line while providing the best care possible for our guests. Sugar has been in a long term foster situation, and is living the best life ever. This is a product see NEEDS, this is the best price option for our Shelter. Chewy delivers again.

I've used this topical product on my dog and she has tolerated it well so far. I had been using Coraxis, and think this is a similar product. So far, so good! Thanks.

Greyt for stubborn hookworms in greyhounds
By Jamie on Oct 9, 2020
As other reviews have mentioned, our greyhound came from Florida. Her stool samples kept coming positive for hookworms, although it didn’t really seem to be having a negative affect on her (no weight loss, runny poop, etc). We tried several courses of treatment and dewormers, and nothing worked for months. Once she got on advantage multi, the worms went away. I’m so thankful that our veterinarian did some research and found a tip to use this product.

No one near me had this product and it was recommended by the Rescue Group in Central Texas for the dog that I adopted. A convenient way to purchase.

IT'S SO EASY!
By PaulaD on Jul 7, 2020
Our greyhound came to us from Florida where a particularly nasty hook worm has developed. The GPA gave us the information regarding the medication needed to treat it. Advantage Multi is one of the versions. On the good side, this topical medication protects our dogs from heart worms, fleas, ticks, and hook and pin worms. It's applied between the shoulders at the base of the neck. I was a little concerned because it looked rather oily. Yuck. But it was totally absorbed by the next morning. WOW! It's a little expensive to buy but I believe it's economical to use. And it's one medication rather than several to cover the concerns. Too many medications always concerns me.
