Simparica is a great tasting chewable tablet given orally once a month. It travels in your dog's blood to safely deliver persistent continuous protection against fleas and ticks from day 1 to day 35.
Tick-borne diseases represent a widespread and growing public health hazard to dogs (and their human companions), causing debilitating illness and even death. It only takes one tick to spread disease, so continuous protection is critical to help reduce the risk of infection.
Likewise, it only takes a single "pregnant" flea to start an infestation on a dog or in a home. And although fleas are largely perceived as a mere nuisance, they too, can pose health risks to pets and humans.
Went to a pet dermatologist, she diagnosed my 10 year old pup with a flea allergy and recommended this product. Immediately after he took it, I noticed that he had become more high strung, and the little things he does , he was no longer doing them for the month. He loves his stuffed animals , and goes nuts when the neighbors dog passes. None of that happened and his face looked more guant. He definitely had more energy and not a calm pup anymore. It’s interesting. It’s Sept 25th and he’s supposed to have another dose on the first and hos old personality is coming back again. I will not give it to him.
My dog has a really hard time with fleas every summer and I’ve tried all the ones that don’t require a prescription. This year when I found one of her fleas on me I knew I had to do something drastic. After explaining that fleas have become immune to all of the well known brands over the years, she recommended these. They are quite an investment, but figured it was worth it for us to stay flea free. Reading about the side effects kind of freaked me out but they seem to be rare so I took the chance. Month one was great. No scratching! Yay! Month two was less great. About two weeks after I gave her the pill she started scratching, and a few nights ago I got about 5 fleas off of her. The month wasn’t even up yet. Last night I gave her the third pill and today she was scratching like crazy and I found about 10 fleas on her. She’s an indoor dog too, an 80 pound cattle dog mix. It’s 100+ degrees out so when she goes out it’s not for very long. They must wait outside the door for her to come out and pounce at first sight. Not the amazing results I was hoping for unfortunately.
I live in the country we are exposed to all kind of insects, especially fleas and ticks I raise yorkies, we also have large dogs, we have problems with fleas spring thru fall in the south. We have tried several outlet’s for flea prevention, and always come back to Simparica it simply works.
Easy, great, smooth transaction. I was able to avoid the high cost prescription fee from the vet and use a coupon from Chewy to get a better deal. I thought it would take awhile to ship because of mailing the prescription. I was wrong it came very quickly
Our vet recommended this because we’d been using Bravecto for years and it wasn’t working as well as it did in the beginning. So far so good. I liked the fact that Bravecto was every 90 days but I’m fine doing monthly if it works!
Two months in. Dog is dead. After first dose GI upset - was not sure related to using pill for first time or not. Second month dog had GI upset for two days, appeared to be getting better than found dead. Dog was young and had just been at vet with no reported health issues.
I feel safe using this for my puppies. They can't tolerate the Simparica plus at all. They throw up. Not with this.
No problems with this flea and tick prevention. Tolerated well by a tender stomached 60 lb lab. And it works!
I gave this to my dog on 5/8/2023 for the 1st time ever, he passed on 5/19/2023. His eyes looked weird and very red within 3 days, he stopped eating and standing. This medication is dangerous. When I took him to the vet they told me he as acting as if he had dementia. Don't use it
This product works wonderfully. Although I understand that a prescription from a vet is required, I wish there was a quick way to get the order processed.
