This is my first time buying this product. My kitties have rejected a lot of freeze-dried treats, but I thought I would give this Chewy brand a try. All 9 of my kitties think this is better than any treat they have had! I can't even leave the bag out as they steal it and try to gnaw their way into it. I am very happy to have tried this and will continue to buy it. It costs less than the other brands and they enjoy it so much more. Thanks, Chewy!
My two 6 month old Ragdoll kittens love these. I also use them as a topper on their dry food. Maisie eats dry food, but Finn didn’t care for it. He is going to be close to 20 lbs and I can’t afford all moist food for him. Since I have been crumbling just a little of this on the dry he is now eating it. Its also a good use of the crumbled food in the bag that you can’t really feed by hand.
My two cats won't eat this. They won't eat anything but their cat food, not even people food. But my small dog loves this mixed in with her kibble. In fact, she won't eat her dog food if I leave this out. So, somebody in my house loves this.
I wanted to switch from Orijen treats to another freeze dried type so decided to try these and they're a huge hit! Mei absolutely went crazy for them and kept trying to get into the trash where I threw the torn off pouch cover lol. Will definitely be buying again!
My cat absolutely loves these treats! He really enjoys chasing them if I throw a treat. Just make sure to break up the big pieces because my cat had some difficulty even after I break them up. Once all the bigger pieces are gone and just the small shreds are left I put the shreds on top of his food for a little flavor boost to his food.
I got this in a holiday cat gift box, and wow all three cats love these!! I do not feed my crew dry and only grain free wet canned food. I am happy that there is only one ingredient in this, namely chicken. Because it's freeze dried I crumble it on top of their wet food as a treat, or to get them to finish food. Try it with a little water also.
I have 4 senior cats with varying dental issues. I'm no longer able to give them crunchy or chewy treats. This is the only treat they can comfortably eat. I crumble it into tiny shreds so they can basically lick it up. So very helpful!
These are the ones! We used to buy a different brand, but those often arrived crushed to powder and some pieces were too hard for my older kitty to chew, so we tried these. While I was put off by the stronger odor of these treats, the feline community said "dis is da bomb!". American Journey Freeze-dried Chicken Treats are a bit softer that the previous brand so the percent of powder in the bottom of the bag is much less. Our fur babies have to have these! If we run out, there's trouble, so I always try to have an extra bag in the cat food closet!
Tito has something to say about everything and he does not give this 2 paws up. He's hard to please but i don't take it personal. Ruger, my GSD, on the other hand loves it! I'm using it as a topper for his meals. I will continue to explore the never ending sea of treats to seek out that one "unicorn" that Tito may or may not like because well you know we work for our cats and pleasing them is our life's mission! LOL Seriously...There is nothing wrong with the product....Tito is just very picky.
Got a bag of this in a Goodie Box and finally got around to giving it a try. No one would touch it. I just tried it with some of the strays that frequent me, even they won't touch it. At this point I have to hope the one raccoon that stops by every now and then wants it otherwise the whole thing is going into the trash. Don't waste your time with these "treats".
