Flavor!

Francie is 14yo now, so I thought I’d give her this kitten chicken flavor as a treat from her regular American Journey. She LOVES it! She eats more of this flavor

Francie is 14yo now, so I thought I’d give her this kitten chicken flavor as a treat from her regular American Journey. She LOVES it! She eats more of this flavor than her regular turkey/chicken flavor. She’s a true American Journey cat & it has helped her age well despite her chronic breathing issues. Her coat is thick & shiny, her teeth are still good, her eyes are still clear. Thanks to American Journey & a holistic life, she’s in good health. And thanks to this chicken flavor, she’s eating a bit more & hopefully will put on a couple of pounds.

I got this thinking the kittens liked it based on previous experience. Perhaps I was mistaken and it was another brand or not kitten food. None of the kittens would touch this so I am putting it out for the ferals a little at a time mixed with adult cat food.

Feeding 5 Kittens, they loved it! Ingredients are not bad either.

This was well liked by all the kittens I was feeding. The ingredients are moderately good, I did some follow up and found that American Journey is manufactured

This was well liked by all the kittens I was feeding. The ingredients are moderately good, I did some follow up and found that American Journey is manufactured in Pennsylvania. The biggest downside was there was no information on where the ingredients were sourced. The kittens changed food a couple of times to keep them on better quality of food. They had no problems with stomach upset when using this, but when I briefly downgraded them to a cheap corn based brand they left it in their dish. They are back to a kitten specific food and they like it. The kittens are temporary. I need to keep costs down, the price of this was high for 5lbs. It helped greatly that Chewy offered a 50% off on first time orders. I've seen their American Journey at the Chewy website, but I didn't have an opinion on where I would rank it. I think it ranks amongst some of the brands of dry food that are considered premium brands.

High protein and evidently tastes good!

Five cats under the age of two who need extra protein, but also it has to taste good! This fits the bill, and it has a nice, all American name, and is a Chewy brand
