my kitten won't eat any other kind and the price is worth it cause it's all meat-thankyou!
My 3 month old just really doesn't like this dry food, nor does he like the A.J. canned. I liked it's ingredients better than previous kitten food, but it's too expensive to throw out. Wish I could return it for another brand.
I breed rare, hypoallergenic cats. Not many litters per year, because my breeding cats are extremely valuable. The health of their kittens is of extreme importance to me. Wellness, Blue Buffalo, and Merrick were my go-to brands before. But after some of these companies were bought out by less reputable industries, I wasn't pleased. Enter American Journey and their line of cat and kitten foods! I believe that this is THE best kitten kibble on the market today. The ingredients surpass all of the other brands, and our kittens eat it with gusto and thrive on it. It's simply the best IMO. I must caution all cat lovers here, however, to use wet food more than dry for your babies' urinary health.
I ordered this because of its ingredients, and because my kitty was just a little underweight at 7 months. So I wanted to get something rich in nutrients and calories for her. It took her a day to get used to it because I forgot to mix together the old and new, but now she loves it!
This brand has everything I am looking for my two 6 month old black cats. They enjoy the flavor as a complement to their wet food diet. I wish the bag came in a bigger size, but for being grain-free it is a decent price compared to other brands.
Our little boy didn't need a bit of convincing to gobble this up. We switched to grain free when we figured out that grain made the little guy drop atomic stink bombs. We had switched to Blue Buffalo grain free and the problem cleared up but the price was hard on the budget. I was so happy when we saw that Chewy has their brand at a much better price and our Ziggy loves it! Thanks Chewy!
I generally only feed wet food, but our two kitten additions seem to be constantly hungry during this huge growth period. Three cans x 2 kittens is expensive enough as it is -- so I thought I'd get some quality dry kitten food to supplement for added calories. Well, the kittens have no problems eating it, but they aren't as passionate about it as the canned food. No big deal -- it serves its purpose. However, after about two weeks of adding some to their dishes, I noticed that one of our adult cats was looking a bit more "fluffy..." Turns out that our fatty-magoo has developed a real addiction to this kitten grub. She hides and waits until I leave the room and clears out the kittens' bowls. I even put their bowls in a very tight location for her. She is not to be kept from her kitten food snack, as she wedged herself in to clear it out. So, apparently, it must be relatively tasty.
I went through countless other brands of kitten food to find one that my kitten would even eat. There’s something about this brand, maybe it’s the texture, maybe it’s the flavor, who knows ( my kitten does, but he only says ‘meow’ and I don’t speak cat) I was looking for a food with a bit less of a ‘rock hard’ consistency, so maybe it’s easier to chew. Try this one if your kitty is having trouble crunching pieces
First time buying this, and my older kitten loves it!
My kitten actually loves this more than the Merrick food we were giving her. Unfortunately the bag is huge and since we feed her a combo diet, this is probably her first and last bag!
