Might be better for you than Taco Bell
By Molly on Dec 29, 2020
It looks like I shredded and boiled chicken on the stove. It looks like mostly meat (if it isn't they fooled me). I would really like it if they manufactured in the United States, the amount of energy it takes to make cat food baffles me when everything needed is probably in the states. My picky eater and not so picky eater both liked this, which can be difficult. This was their first try so may review again after a few weeks. Hopefully they digest it ok! Wish it was available in stores.

Great ingredients but my cat doesn't eat all of it at once
By Lizz on Jan 5, 2021
The ingredients and quality are great for the price and it looks + smells great. But, my cat will basically slurp up all of the broth excitedly and then ignore all of the chicken pieces until awhile later when she's feeling hungry. She finishes up and licks her plate clean for the pates, so I think she just doesn't vibe well with the chicken strips which is sad for me because I do think this line has the best ingredients.

She ate the whole can, first try
By Suze on Jan 14, 2021 Top 500 Contributor
Yep, she liked it. A lot of cat food looks the same to me - I go by ingredients - but my Winifred has the final say. This food went over well, so I'll be getting it again.

Licked the bowl clean!
By Minniepeanut on Nov 23, 2020
My girls licked their bowls clean and wanted more. Great texture and didn’t smell horrible like most canned foods do. Love that real meat is the first ingredient!

Very good food
By Itty on Nov 21, 2020 Top 250 Contributor
Real food. No bad stuff. This and the other landmark flavors are great low carb options for my cats. And cats all love it especially with a little Bonita topper.

Only 3 of the 5 Cats will eat it
By CatMama on Aug 25, 2020
Not sure why, but 2 of my fur babies won't touch this food. It looks like real chicken and smells like chicken broth, so its perplexing. Too bad because the ingredients seem healthy and like people grade food. Cats are so finicky. I hope they ALL will like the fish one I bought them in this brand.

What is this black stuff?
By AsthmaKitty on Jul 4, 2020
Opened 2 cans this morning of chicken and turkey and both riddled with these black pieces. Where is quality control? Chewy is great and gave me a credit. But what I really need is healthy food, which is hard to find for a cat with allergies. Hate that this is not made in the US but neither is Tiki Cat and it was good quality until they changed the recipe a few years ago and my cat turned her nose up. Back to square one...

9 out of 10 for Ingredients & Nutrition
By Connie on Jun 28, 2020 Top 1000 Contributor
I recently transitioned my cats to an all-wet food diet after one of them developed bladder stones that required surgery. This will hopefully prevent future UTI's, bladder stones or urinary blockages. Did hours of research, checked several reliable nutrition/review sites. Turns out American Journey Landmark is exceptionally well-rated. High protein with named meat source as the first ingredient, moderate fat, low carb, no artificial colors or flavors, no cheap fillers. Comparable quality-wise to Tiki and Instinct. It's not cheap but neither are vet bills for surgery that can come as a result of poor quality canned food, and especially from ANY kind of all-kibble diet. Cats really like it!
By 3catsmom on Jul 11, 2020
I bought this mainly for one of our cats who ignores pate and just licks the gravy and leaves the chunks of other canned food to see if she would eat this meat since it’s different. Well she still mainly drinks the broth, but it does appear the she eats some of the meat so that’s some improvement! My two boys lick their bowls totally clean though and go nuts when I put it down. Definitely will keep this one in the rotation.
