    Smells horrible...sometimes

By Leila on Sep 24, 2021

I like the ingredients of this food, I like the fact that it looks like real chicken, I like that there's a lot of broth because my cat loves broth and it keeps her hydrated. What I don't like is the quality control issue. The first time I ordered this it smelled...fine. Like, it smelled like human-grade canned chicken (not my favorite smell, but normal). The second time?? Oh my god did it smell awful. Metallic, rotten, skunky...I'm not sure how to describe it but I gagged. I threw out the can and opened another...only to find the same issue. The entire box was that way. I hesitantly fed it to my cat - she still ate it and didn't get sick. But I really don't want to buy it again (including I like the ingredients of this food, I like the fact that it looks like real chicken, I like that there's a lot of broth because my cat loves broth and it keeps her hydrated. The salmon version hasn't had the same issue...yet. … more

    Rotten food

By Lyss on Jul 26, 2021

I have been buying this food for awhile , and at first I never had issues with it. Now, just like other reviews have said, when i open the can it has a horrible smell and the food on the bottom is a dark grey color. I am scared to even feed it to my babies. Now I will have to find a different wet food because they have lost my service. The first time i thought it might be a mistake but it has been consistent for my past couple orders.

    What Happened???

    By smc07040 on Jul 14, 2021

My cats wolf this food down like there's no tomorrow. Unfortunately, there seems to have been a change in the recipe: too much liquid, not much chicken. I've been buying this food for almost a year now, and was impressed with the amount of chicken in each can. However, my last two orders have been like chicken soup. I'm hoping this was due to a temporary quality control issue in processing and not a permanent change to the formula. I may try one more order and hope the recipe has gone back to the original.

    They don’t like it much

By Katmom on Jun 30, 2021

Due to Chewy discontinuing Taste of the Wild canned cat food, I was forced to find a new canned food all 3 cats will eat. None of my cats are very excited about this food and I continue my search to find a canned food they will all eat. Having 3 cats, buying food by the case is more convenient. The search continues.

    Cat hates this

By Claire on Jul 6, 2021

She refuses to eat it. So glad I was only allowed to buy 12 at a time. Did I miss the option to just buy 1 or 2 cans? I personally think it looks good. Looks like shredded chicken. The only thing I don't like about it, its mostly juice.

    My cats love this brand

By Bridget on May 28, 2021

My cats love this brand of wet food even for my daughter's extremely fussy cat. It doesn't have that stinky smell that most wet food does. It smells like fresh cooked chicken or seafood when I buy that flavor. I gave a couple cans to a friend and her cats loved it and they won't eat chicken of anything even hard food but this they did. Now she is buying it. This is a must buy brand of wet food.

    REAL CHICKEN SHREADS

By CasaGato on May 25, 2021

My Penelope is a tiny little lady and super fussy, I'm always looking for something she will not turn her nose up and walk away from, short of cooking for just her I have found that she's willing to eat this and that makes me happy. I know she won't starve but if she's happy I am too!
