Thisis a great food for Senior Cats, my fur baby eats it with passion. I appreciate that someone makes a food for older cats, she is 17 years old and very picky about food.
questionable quality
I have tried a few of the American Journey brand wet cat foods, pate, minced and regular, maybe even a diced. The smell from the last few batches was just awful. Something isn't right with their recipe, going so far as stinking up my house during feeding time all the way to the second floor. The dates were fine and the seals were unbroken. I returned one unopened case and threw out another, I did get credit but the hassle wasn't worth it. I haven't yet received my full refund, by check, but I'm trying to be hopeful. I had to call 3 times so far to find out what the problems were, getting different answers each time but I think this last time may have worked. Back to the product review. We've decided to not use American Journey any longer. Too many problems. The quality has become very poor and the smell was putrid. My cat was throwing up every night until we stopped feeding it to him. We used to like the brand for their grain-free option but something has changed and not for the better. I would caution anyone before investing in cases of this stuff.

My cat loves this food
My senior cat was not eating and getting weaker. When I started feeding him American Journey indoor cat, he was doing better. I got the senior cat formula because it comes in the smaller 3 oz size, more in line with Boot's appetite. He has always preferred chicken flavor.

I'm glad that my cat and I agree on what's good for him! We also like that it comes in small cans. Food in larger can begins to taste like the fridge after day 2.
Not good, powdered Cellulose
Why is powdered cellulose being put into the Indoor and Senior formulas? It is bad for cats especially for those with allergies. It seems pet food companies are putting ingredients in and not telling the public. There is no consistency in the way pet food is being made and no regulations. All pet parents need to complain to all these companies or they will keep doing this. If your pet has allergies say to turkey and these pet companies just add that in without telling you, it could be bad for your pet. We need honesty and better food from pet food companies. Quit adding things in and not tell us. Make our pet foods better not worse for our pets.

Cats enjoy this food! Lick the bowl clean! Has fewer calories than most senior food. Highly recommend this food.

My cats love this food. And I love that it has joint supplements in it.. My older cats love it, and it's getting hard to find a find they both love..
