Worked wonders!
I see people complain the pill is to big can't get down my cats throat! Come on. OPEN THE CAPSULE, SPRINKLE ON FOOD. My 17 1/2 year old has been on this for a year. Yes she still has kidney disease, but her numbers are great! She looks great, beautiful coat, has a great appetite & still likes to play! This was recomnended to me by a vet. Well worth the problem of a big pill. I open a capsule and mix it with a very little bit of a treat like, Lil Soups or a Squeeze up. Just enough to mix it in & get her to eat it all. There does not seem to be a taste or smell or texture. Great product! Thank you for giving me more time with my princess
AminAvast kidney support for cats
I started using this on my 15 year old cat and I do believe it is helping with his kidney function he seems to be more playful and alert then he had been so I feel it is from this product Would highly recommend this product
Has worked wonderfully for our baby
This product has worked wonders for our kidney disease kitty. We found her outside and brought her in. She was extremely underweight and didn’t eat much. The vet told us she has kidney disease and we should try some kidney pate. When she refused to eat that, we turned to this product. It has helped her immensely as her appetite, mood, energy have all increased. She doesn’t seem to mind it too much, so long as it’s mixed in well. So happy we found this for her!
Would Recommend
My beloved and beautiful cat Cookie recently passed away at almost 19 years old. She was diagnosed with Kidney disease about 4-5 years ago. My vet at the time recommended these capsules along with changing her diet to Hills K/D wet or dry. I always added just a little water to a Small amount of her K/D wet food and then this capsule powder (to make sure she ate all the the powder in the food from the capsule first) and then would give her more food after she ate the smaller amount. I gave her this capsule powder twice a day every day since she was diagnosed years ago and I do believe that these capsules along with changing her food to Hills K/D diet kept her kidney disease at bay for all these years and I am so thankful for all the extra years with my beautiful baby girl that this combination gave to us. We miss her so much. Thank you Chewy for the flowers sent to me today in remembrance of my beautiful Cookie. You are a wonderful and caring company.
A real miracle
Before we started this vitamin the vet gave my precious faith less than 3 months, they said it would be a miracle for her to see Christmas. She is now almost 6 months past diagnosis and almost 3 months past Christmas. Although her disease has been progressing, I wholeheartedly believe that if it were not for this vitamin, we would have lost her long ago. This vitamin has given us precious time to be able to come to terms and two love her for longer than what we thought we'd have. She is happy, comfortable and if it weren't for the diagnosis you would not be able to tell something was wrong with her.
Miracle combined with vet diet
I don't know if it's this supplement or the prescription renal diet (Hills k/d) that my cat has been eating. Maybe it's both. But her bloodwork 6 months later shows almost all her values are down to *normal*. She had early kidney disease with SDMA of 18 and slightly elevated creatinine and BUN. Her SDMA is now 12! The vet couldn't believe it and he kept telling me that she still has kidney disease because it's incurable, even though the numbers are lower. My baby is 14 years old. I plan to keep her on this supplement and on prescription food. Hopefully we can keep the CKD at bay for the rest of her lifetime. My cat is a very picky eater and she'll refuse to take this capsule if she's aware of it. I have to pour the powder on her wet food and mix it thoroughly until you can't see the white powder anymore. They say it's supposed to be odorless, but I think she can tell. Once I mix it in all the way, she scarfs down the food no problem.
I noticed improvements in one week!
I took my 13-year-old cat to the vet to have a bad tooth pulled. Due to her age, he did routine bloodwork before the surgery and discovered she had stage 2 kidney disease. He did not do the surgery and prescribed new food for renal support. She did okay for a few weeks but then stopped eating. She slept all day and barely wanted to get up, even with some coaxing. This supplement was recommended to me, and I started giving her one capsule twice a day in November. I open the capsule and mix it in her wet food. At first, she was hesitant and wasn't eating a lot. She probably only got the equivalent of one capsule a day for the first week because I would end up throwing away the wet food after it sat in her dish too long. By the second week, her appetite was back to normal! She literally licks her bowl clean! She plays all the time and is more awake during the day! It's like I have my baby back! We went to the vet last week to have her bloodwork checked again, and she's now considered stage 1!! Her creatinine went from 3.5 in October to 2.5 in December!! (I started this supplement in November) I've added this supplement to my auto ship order for her food. The vet said if she's doing well, he won't need to see her again until March to double check her bloodwork again. I'm curious to see where we'll be after 4 months of daily use!

My kittie that was 2 yrs old when adopted from a rescue, showed urinary issues within 6 mos of adoption. Likely came with them, but I wasn't aware. Found out she was suffering from Kidney Failure & became very ill. We were giving her sub q fluids, meds & special food. She was very picky about the food & got down to 4.9#. I was afraid I was going to need to put her down & posted something on FB. A fellow cat friend told me about AminAvast, I researched it & decided it was worth a try. Thank Heavens!!! Minnie has done excellent within 3 days of adding it to her Royal Canin specialty food!! Her labs show the damage, but she is VERY stable! Eats 2 cans of food daily with the supplement & Benazapril! She weighed in at the Vet last week @ 7.3#! She is a total LOVE & is a happy, loving girl!! We are Blessed!!
Liquefy The Powder
It's true that they made the pills too large for a cat to swallow with any kind of ease, and putting the powder in food was also a fail for my orange female tabby who is starting to show signs of kidney disease. However, I ended up breaking the pill and emptied the powder into a small bowl, added 7-8 drops of water, mixed it with my finger, and used a syringe to suck it up. My cat takes 2 doses this way by mouth with ease, and she has shown dramatic signs of improvement. If you have a cat who will work with you using this approach, I highly recommend this product.
life saver!
When my cat was diagnosed with kidney disease she was considered stage 4 at the time, because it had not been controlled by diet or meds yet. I for sure thought she wasn’t going to get any better and was looking at having her put down that’s how bad I felt she was. They suggested this, and oh boy it’s been a fight figuring out how to get her to take this. She hates wet food. But we found a way and she did a complete turn around. After caring for her we found out she really only is stage 2. She has remained at stage 2 for over a year now. I truly believe this pill is what I have to thank for that. Yes I’m sure the food is helping but it wasn’t until 1 week of accomplishing a way that she would take the pill until I saw a difference in her.
