    Seems to help

    By on

My 14 yo was diagnosed with early kidney disease. I tried the commercial kidney diet as well as home made but she absolutely refused. I tried these and, after about 2 weeks of adding more to the diet, I took her back for blood work. Vet said the kidneys were just a little bit worse, but she was fine with giving her this supplement. I have added a prescription, but she easily takes the AminAvast powder (I put the powder under her wet food) so I will continue to use it. I definitely noticed her eating better after starting it and she is very small and thin (has been all her life) so she can't afford to lose weight.

    Saved my cat's life

    By on

I year ago my 14 year old kitty was in very bad shape with kidney disease, she had rigid fur, not eating and losing weight, and constipated. We tried giving her the prescription kidney diet but she just wouldn't eat it. I was skeptical when my vet recommended AminAvast, I thought no way, she was already so finicky about eating. Here we are 1.5 years later in 2020, and she's doing great. I open 1 capsule twice a day in her canned food. She will only eat fancy feast or frisky shreds. I am so thankful for this product, her life has been and extended and most importantly her quality of life has been restored.

A perfect combination with Forza food

    By on

My old cat with Stage 3 kidney disease, would not eat any prescription food. I started with Amin Avast and also changed him to Forza Renal (not prescription) It has been 3 weeks and these two things I believe have saved my cat. He eats now, moves around ,plays and has energy. We hope he can regain the muscle he lost. Try AminVast for your CKD cat, what do you have to lose!

So happy we found this stuff!

We break this capsule and pour the powder into wet food. It has no smell or taste so it doesn’t phase our cat. So happy we found this life-changing supplement and that his numbers are back in the normal range! Also happy that Chewy sells it because it’s cheaper than buying it at the vet!

    Can't say either way

I've been giving this to my 15 yr old cat with CKD. He is probably towards the end of the disease. Still eats and drinks but is thin. Since giving these his appetite has been maintained which is better than decreasing. Pro tip: use "Catit Creamy Chicken & Liver Flavor Lickable Cat Treats" to hide the powder. I ordered the Catit lickable treats and squeeze the creamy paste out onto a dish and mix in the powder from the capsule. My cat gobbles it up without even realizing I gave him medicine. Also if this matters to anyone my significant other is a veterinarian pathologist and he read the studies on this supplement and believed it would be beneficial for a cat with CKD.

Chewy did not publish my other honest review.

Not recommended. My cat got higher creatinine after taking this. From 2.1 became 2.9 (inspite of reducing her protein) Pet well being, just raised from 1.8-2.1 9(that time she was still eating a lot of high protein home made baked chicken). Not good?

    life safer

that worked miraculously with my cat that has stage 4 of CKD. It was not prescribed by its vet, but I heard from my vet friend that uses this to treat cats with the same problem back in my country. It took a month to start noticing the effects on my cat. Its tasteless and easy to mixture with food. I am glad I can give my cat a little comfort after all.

    This stuff is pure Magic!

A couple of years ago, Molly was diagnosed as having the early stages of kidney disease. Less than a month ago, Molly urinated only once a day in irregular squirts instead of a steady stream. She was listless and when awake, just stared into space. She also had a couple of accidents where she'd aim for the litter box but "it" landed inside and out of her box. The last time I saw an old cat act like this, it was due to more advanced kidney disease. A friend recommended that I try AminAvast and he gave me an extra bottle he had. Molly started on AminAvast on July 27th. She had a wellness exam was July 31st and her blood work and urine lab values had improved since her last check up. She was urinating 2 or 3 times per day, minimum, instead of only once. Her energy level had increased, she still napped during the day but when awake, she was alert, sassy and very vocal. My baby was back and doing well! This stuff is tasteless and mixes easily into wet food. I cannot believe the difference in her behaviour. Molly is 18+ years old and her progress continues. I don't know how long this supplement will help her but I am so grateful to have learned about it. I wish I had known about it sooner. Molly's brother, Micky died from renal failure 6 years ago. … more

    Worked a miracle (fast)!

About ten days ago, my listless cat Callie, who is about 17 years old, was diagnosed with pre-kidney failure and I was sent home with fluids and instructions on how to inject them under her skin for life. At the same time, I received the AminAvast and started sprinkling it on her food, one capsule twice a day. Her improvement was almost immediate. She was staying hydrated on her own. Her BUN level was 75 and was retested yesterday; it is now 50 after only one week of this supplement. The vet was reluctant to believe that she was improving from this supplement, but the bloodwork proves out that the trend is moving downward - and Callie is acting almost normal, eating normally, not drinking excessively About ten days ago, my listless cat Callie, who is about 17 years old, was diagnosed with pre-kidney failure and I was sent home with fluids and instructions on how to inject them under her skin for life.
