I am good at feeding any kind of supplement by force(if I have to) but this is very difficult. They create bubble around their lip and spit on my face by shaking their head the moment they taste it. Poor babies
Liver values continue to rise

My dog is taking rimadyl regularly now. I was looking for something to help lower her rising liver values. I tried this for a couple months and had them rechecked but they have continued to rise. So the vet recommends Denamartin. I will try that instead. A little disappointed as I could squirt this on her food and she ate it no problem.
not for cats

I was hoping this would help my senior cat, who has liver disease. Pills are not indicated for him due to esophageal problems. The Denamarin pills are fairly large for a cat. The flavor of this liquid just is not tolerable for cats. I tasted it and it has a very strong alcohol/herbal taste.
Animal Essentials and Chewy to the Rescue

I have a senior dog with lifelong digestive sensitivities and problems, who now has developed acid reflux. In my research for this new problem, I found several supplements which might help his condition. Looking for these supplements and in the appropriate forms for my poor dog was a nightmare. Out of exasperation, I came back to Chewy and found that all of the supplements I had been searching for were found in the necessary dog-sized portions and liquid form (don't get me started on pills!) in three Animal Essentials supplements: Slippery Elm, Licorice Root and Marshmallow Root in Colon Rescue; Ginger Root, Fennel and Chamomile in Daily Digestion; and Milk Thistle and Dandelion Root/LeafI have a senior dog with lifelong digestive sensitivities and problems, who now has developed acid reflux. I cannot tell you how very happy I was to find all of the headaches of dosing, palatability and ease of administering taken care of for me. He has been on a daily routine of all 3 of these supplements for nearly a month now. He has had no problem taking any and all in his food. Have these cured his problem? No. But, I can tell you that he is a much happier dog now than a month or two ago. Along with a great probiotic, digestive enzymes, and a change in his feeding schedule, these 3 supplements have helped to make a tremendous decline in his symptoms and a very happy improvement in his condition. No vomiting, only occasional gas, much less and less frequent reflux episodes.
Oh, thank you, Animal Essentials, and thank YOU, Chewy!… more

My dog has bad numbers on his liver( ALKP test high) so I bought this before going into yet another round of very expensive testing that doesn't bring us any resolution or answer. He seems better since I've been using this so I will finish the bottle and retest him and see if it truly is helping.

Both cats and dogs reacted to the supplement as if it were poison. I mix it with there food and hand feed it. They seem to like the way it makes them feel. Healthy stools, were gonna stick with it.

Well...it might be a little early to actually report on this. I don't know yet if it's helping Buddy's liver. It has a strong odor to it and Buddy won't eat his food right away after I put these drops on it....but eventually he does. I hope it still works that way...
Easily administered, and she likes it!

Our vet prescribed Denamarin (huge tablets) because her liver values were low. My dog refuses to eat it. She detects it in her favorite food when I crush it up. My sister is a DVM and told me about Liver Defense with milk thistle. When my dog sees the bottle she comes licking her lips already. She also takes Amino B-Plex and likes that too. We hope to see improvement in her next work up. On a recent visit to the vet for another issue, I showed these to him and he said, "Good, glad you found something she will take and not let the problem go." He asked how I heard about it.
