Animax is the commercial name for a combination of medicines in an ointment form. It's a mixture of a corticosteroid, an antifungal and an antibiotic. Animax is useful for treating infections that are caused or complicated by yeast or bacteria. The topical treatment is suitable for dogs and cats. All you have to do is simply apply the Animax to the affected area as many times a day as your vet prescribes.
This stuff is great for so many skin problems but the price has gone up by 70% since I last ordered 5 months ago. If it's going to cost that much more can we please get a better tube and a formulation that isn't so watery??? The waste from those two problems is frustrating but I could deal with it at the lower price, now I'm just grumpy.
Excellent ! I love Chewy.com...This medicine does wonder for my Cockapoo Cinnamon...relieves a lot of itching...
This is a very good ear medicine for any kind of ear infection but trying to do 4 or 5 drops in an ear canal and squeeze that tube is almost impossible. The nozzle is made to go inside the ear so you cannot see how many drops you're doing and if you squeeze the tube sometimes too much comes out. And those tubes do crack. And if you try to push it from the bottom up it comes out the nozzle like crazy... It's only my opinion but a little bottle with dropper (like saline bottles) would be much nicer and easier. And less waste!
The medicine itself works just fine for ear infections as prescribed by a vet, but the aluminum tube it comes in is just awful. I've used two different tubes, and they've both split in the middle because a crease in the tube pierced itself. The tube holds a lot of tension, so if you pinch the bottom to get the liquid more even, it bursts out the top. Because of the consistency, the liquid continues to blob out after you put it down until you cap it too.
It works but so messy otimax is alot better it stays in the ear canal this medication causes the ear to become so messy
This ointment works to reduce itching well at first but it's somewhat watery and it doesn't stay on the dog very long. The applicator tends to leak through the cap and some of the ointment leaks out everytime you use it.
Chewy is the best when it comes to scripts, they are fast efficient and their customer service is dog gone awesome. This ointment is best for us since our baby gets lick granulomas often. It clears it right up and stops the incessive licking.
Scarlett has benefitted immensely from this ointment. Thank you.
I absolutely love chewy! This has saved me so much money I totally recommend getting chewy!
This cream is the best. It works quickly on my dog's ear infection and can even be used on his skin. he gets raw spots from scratching and chewing.
