Adult: The age and activity level of your dog will help you determine the amount of Annamaet Adult to feed your dog.
Females: Gestation and lactation are one of the most nutritionally demanding stages of a normal adult dog's life. Food consumption should increase during gestation. Feed the necessary amount to maintain her proper body weight. During lactation, food intake may double or quadruple.
Puppies: Growing puppies should have approximately twice the amount of calories per pound of body weight as an adult dog. They should be fed all the moistened Annamaet Adult they want at intervals throughout the day until they are about three months of age. They then can be fed moistened amounts three times daily and twice daily after six months of age.
It is a must that all dogs and puppies should have access to fresh, clean water at all times. Their feed and water containers should be washed daily. Please remember, that dogs are like humans, and different dogs have different appetites. The feeding chart below is approximate measures for average weights. The look, feel, and actions of your dog should help you determine the amount of feed they need.
A standard measuring cup holds 3.5 ounces of Annamaet Adult.

Is the Annamaet Adult Formula grain-inclusive?
Answer by • Sep 29, 2022
This recipe is grain inclusive.
What is the digestibility rating for this formula? Thanks.
Answer by • Jan 04, 2022
Annamaet formulas average in the mid to upper 80¹s for digestibility. Please be aware there is no industry standard for determining digestibility, there are many methods used to determine digestibility and depending on what method a company uses can often lead to varying results. Important factors for increased digestibility are quality of ingredients and cooking process.
Annamaet uses the highest quality ingredients, and their plant performs a slower cook at a lower temperature. In general, animal proteins are most digestible in a raw state so they don't want to over cook them or at a temperature that is too high. Starches on the other hand are most digestible to the dog when cooked. So, a slow cook at a lower temperature maximizes the digestibility of both.
While this is one of the #1 rated foods in my mind and everyone's mind in the Dog Sledding world, Chewy price on it is way out of line. Cost from manufacturer is only $57 a 40# bag and Chewy is doubling the cost.

She loves it!
A pet shop I visited while on vacation gave me samples of this dog food and recommended it highly. I ordered 2 small bags to make sure she would be good with it which she was. I just ordered the bigger bag because she loves it!! She gobbles it up so quick and then licks the bowl. I also saw Dog Food Advisor rated it #1 for dry dog food!!

A good basic food, but not for my dogs
For background: my dogs were previously on a grain-free salmon formula from a different brand before I switched them to this product. I wanted to switch to a grain-inclusive formula from a brand I liked better, so I decided to try this product.
My dogs both liked this food, they ate it without issue. They stool was fine, though they were a little gassy for a bit.
Over a few months I noticed two things: 1. my mutt started getting itchy all the time and developed several skin infections 2. my rottie's skin became dry. I added in some salmon oil daily for a couple weeks and the 2nd problem (dry skin) cleared up quickly; however, the itchy skin remained. With some trial and error, and a few vet visits, I determined that my mutt just doesn't tolerate chicken well - obviously that's not the fault of this product, so I'm not letting that impact the score. We've since switched over to the salmon and rice formula (Option) from this brand and she's done much better and my big guy hasn't had any dry skin.
I'd say if your dog does fine with other chicken-based formulas they'd likely do well on this. I took off one star because I am wondering if the amount of omega-3s in this product could be improved (see dry skin issue above).

Under-appreciated
A pet food wholesaler recommended this little known brand to me over a decade ago and every dog we have had ever since has eaten this. They gobble it down and it seems to keep them healthy.

She Loves It!
Since Annamaet came recommended from a previous owner after adopting our sweet Penny, we kept her on it. At first we added a little chicken or beef broth to moisten her dry food a little and have since added some canned food. She still loves it after 2 years and we always make sure we have it on hand. She's healthy and happy at 9 years old.

Loves the stuff.
My almost two year old large breed really loves this food. At first I thought the kibble was too tiny. But it’s not and he digs right in. Must be super tasty because he eats it with no topper. Sometimes I add goat milk or broth. I love the moderate protein and lower fat content. Quality food! This company really cares about your opinions too.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST!!!
Our dogs absolutely love it! They eat it so fast when in the past they would guard their kennels while still having food there.
Most amazing part - our little guy has had no hair on his belly since he was a young pup. He is 8 now and only since we switched him to his food he is growing it back!!!!!

Good stuff
If it’s made in Pennsylvania, why is it shipped from Texas?

Loved by 5 Dogs
I originally decided on this food, because it has never had a recall. I am very concerned about recalls and food made and sourced in the USA. (I lost a dog to bad food years ago.) My 5 fur babies seem to really like this food. They are allowed to “free feed,” but they no longer snack between meals. They are also eating way less than when I had them on other foods. This food may be a keeper!
