Important Safety Information

See full Prescribing Information. Do not use Apoquel Chewable in dogs less than 12 months of age or those with serious infections. Apoquel Chewable may increase the chances of developing serious infections, and may cause existing parasitic skin infestations or pre-existing cancers to get worse. Consider the risks and benefits of treatment in dogs with a history of recurrence of these conditions.  New neoplastic conditions (benign and malignant) were observed in clinical studies and post-approval.  Apoquel Chewable has not been tested in dogs receiving some medications including some commonly used to treat skin conditions such as corticosteroids and cyclosporines. Do not use in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs. Most common side effects are vomiting and diarrhea. Apoquel Chewable has been used safely with many common medications including parasiticides, antibiotics and vaccines.

INDICATIONS: Control of pruritus (itching) associated with allergic dermatitis and control of atopic dermatitis in dogs at least 12 months of age.

It did help slow down itch, but only temporarily. But it also made my 10+year old lab super thirsty 24/7. A huge sign it's not doing his kidneys any favors. He became somewhat manic about 16-18 hours after taking it too. Our experience was so bad, we've turned to a muzzle and cone to prevent more skin damage, added high quality vitamins and salmon oil, and more frequent play and walks for distraction. He's doing MUCH better now, and all but the biggest sore has completely gone, and hair is back. Guessing he will be fine in another couple weeks. Also added beef to his usual chicken diet.

My lab mix who has suffered with allergies his entire life had issues get significantly worse about a year ago (13y.o. now 12y.o lastyear) and all of his hair was falling out and he was always miserable. The vet offered blood work and other testing to determine the allergy for $1,800+. As a working mom trying to do Christmas with two small children it was not financially passable to fund. After I expressed this, the Vet suggested APOQUEL. This medicine changed my dog's life. All of his hair grew back within 2 weeks and he was a completely different dog, a much healthier and happier dog. It felt like he dropped 5 years off. Friends and family cannot believe the results. Although it's insanely expensive. Around $100 a month. I will not live with seeing my sweet dog suffer. I recommend this medication 100% to anyone who's dog struggles with allergies.

My little girl has bad allergies. Scratches all the time around her ears and chest. Skootches her bottom to scratch and just seemed miserable. We are on food to help with allergies as well, but nothing seemed to help. She would wake me up in the middle of the night scratching and I felt so bad. She and her brother are taking Zyrtec every night but she was still miserable. The vet recommended Apoquel and she is a new dog. She still itches, but NOTHING like it was. She does not wake up scratching and she does not scootch as much as she did. It's pricey, but well worth the price.

I don't like having to give this to my pup as I much prefer natural remedies, but she's on it for about 6 months out of the year due to air borne allergens that cause severeskin issues. Nothing natural has worked so we use this and it takes care of the issue. She hasn't experienced any side effects, and the relief it gives her can't be matched.

My box was left at my garage door instead of on my front porch. It was raining hard the day of delivery and by the I got home, the box was completely saturated even to the inside onto the bottles of medicine. I have a covered front porch With a bench on it to keep things off of the porch floor. A perfect place for deliveries, but it was not used as muchonline shopping as I do I have never, ever had a delivery that is just left at the garage door and not on the porch, especiallywhen it’s pouring down rain and predicted to do so all day long!

It actually reduces or stops the itching and skin inflammation

I've given this to my dog for several months, and it does reduce or stop the itching. Sometimes I skip a day and if she doesn't itch then I don't give it to her until the itching starts again. The intensity seems to depend on the season. The medicine works within the hour, it is not cumulative so she can have breaks from taking it without a reduction in it's performance. I don't want her taking drugs unless necessary, and this particular drug is very expensive.

This is the second time recently that my package was either not deluded at all or, today, delivered to the wrong address, nearly a mile away. I was able to track it down to a neighbor's because we received one of their packages that same day. I don't know who fees ex has delivering their things, but it was just some random guy in an unmarked suv who can't read the address right on my porch where he left the neighbors package....

Despite keeping our dog away from known food allergens, and trying our best to wipe him down after being in the grass he’s still quite itchy and apoquel helps a lot. However, I don’t know how comfortable I feel having him on it long term. Over time I will have to figure out a more permissive solution to his itchiness.

Our older Doberman was adopted at 6 years old with severe allergies. She was on this med and we have maintained it and she is now 13 1/2 years old. Our vet and others have advised to move her off of this med, but we have not found an alternative and she has not had any issues being on it long term. I appreciate the new chewables. She takes them like a treat. I started CBD over a year ago hoping this would help with lowering the dose or taking her off this Rx, but that has not worked. Since are dog is larger this is an expensive med to maintian, but taking her off it without an alternative is not an option.

This is by far the best allergy medication I’ve ever been given. However, I will not be able to keep my dog on this medication because it is priced astronomically high! To add fuel to the fire, there doesn’t appear to be any other allergy medication for pets exclusively. What a market scam
