RINSE it well 1st. I think the instructions say that. (My packaging has been gone for a long time. I was lazy and learned the hard way.) Then YouTube taught me to put some bubble wrap on top of the sand for the water to hit while filling so it doesn't become one huge cloud that never settles. My fish love it, move it, and play with it. I love that they love it.

Excellent for shrimp tanks!

This is a beautiful sand that is excellent for shrimp tanks. The baby shrimp don't get stuck down in it like they do in gravel.

It's NOT white

This sand is shown as "sugar white"...it's tan. My dogs bring home a pound of this from the beach every week. I'm VERY disappointed! This is a waste of money

Highest quality sand I’ve found

Even though this sand is rinsed several times already I rinsed it again and there was nothing that floated to the top. It looks perfect inmy tanks.
