Kittens: Start allowing kittens access to AvoDerm® Chicken & Herring Meal Formula cat food about 3 weeks before weaning. The food can be moistened to help consumption. After weaning feed the kitten 3 - 4 times per day for the first 2 months, and then from 2 - 3 times per day until reaching Adult size, and then 1 - 2 times per day. Expect to feed 1 1/2 - 2 times the Adult feeding recommendation during the kitten's growing phase. Adjust the daily amount fed so the kitten maintains a good body condition.

Pregnant Females: During pregnancy increase the feeding amount during the last 1/3 of pregnancy to 1 1/2 times the amount recommended as shown for the Adult. Avoid excessive overfeeding, maintaining a good body condition, while preparing for whelp and nursing.

Lactating Females: A nursing female can expect to need 2 - 3 times as much food as recommended in the Adult feeding guideline. Adjust the extra food given by the number of kittens and length of nursing. Try to maintain a good body condition. However, with large numbers of kittens, expect to have some loss in body fat for milk production.

AvoDerm® Chicken & Herring Meal Formula is pressure cooked to ensure your cat receives optimum nutrition from high quality ingredients. AvoDerm® is naturally formulated to be complete and balanced with added vitamins and minerals, and other essential nutrients for your cat. Adult cats should be fed once or twice a day. Find your cat's approximate weight on the chart to determine the amount of food you should feed daily. Your cat's age, activity level and environment may require adjustments to the amounts listed in the table. Always have fresh, clean water available for your cat. Available for your cat.

    Our cats love it

    By on

I purchased the chicken and herring flavor. My cats really like this food. They are into their 2nd bowl in 2 days. I have 12 cats. I usually feed a variety of medium priced canned and dry food. Lately, I've had a problem with the cats spitting up food, refusing to eat food, etc. Nice to find a fóod they'll eat right away and seems to agree with their system.

    The old stand-by

    By on

This is the only cat food my Bengal cat will eat. She won't eat anything else, like fresh chicken, cat treats, canned wet food, etc. Actually, the other (enemy) cat loves it, too, and the dog much prefers it over his own kibble. Honestly, we haven't tried ALL foods for a fair comparison, but this is all of their choice over anything else tried so far.

    Good food for felines

    By on

I had a cat, years ago, who suffered from recurring UTIs. Once I put him on this food, he never had another infection, so I think of this as the "problem solving" food. Unfortunately, I had a cat with a chicken allergy and had to stop buying it until after she died, but my current cat, seventeen years old now, eats it, loves it and is bound to live yet a few more years.

    Love Avoderm products!!

    By on

I actually purchased this as a donation to a local animal shelter. The local director was so appreciative of receiving this "high quality cat food" for their use. I personally have used Avoderm canned cat food for our two "muffinheads" (as we affectionately call them) for over 5 years now. They were older rescue cats and one of our gals had a number of health issues - which we didn't know about. After being on Avoderm canned food, they are doing very well and their fur is so much softer! Good quality ingredients and Chewy's price is great!!!

    Disappointed

This particular sack had a different smell than usual. Over heated? Not fresh?

    Discovered via sample

    By on

Got a sample of this from a hardware store, and Sherman loved it. We use it as a "treat" but he eats it more than his regular dry food.

    Helped my older cat

    By on

I have an older cat who was constantly scratching herself and throwing up. I found this brand really helped both problems. I also took in a kitten with long hair about then. He's grown up on this and has a beautiful silky coat with little shedding.

The kids like this food, num num.

High quality and what got me to try it was hearing that those people that show their cats, use advo-derm products-makes their coats shine too. I feed them the canned also.
