10 - 15 lbs1 - 1 1/3

Kittens: Start allowing kittens access to AvoDerm® Chicken & Herring Meal Formula cat food about 3 weeks before weaning. The food can be moistened to help consumption. After weaning feed the kitten 3 - 4 times per day for the first 2 months, and then from 2 - 3 times per day until reaching Adult size, and then 1 - 2 times per day. Expect to feed 1 1/2 - 2 times the Adult feeding recommendation during the kitten's growing phase. Adjust the daily amount fed so the kitten maintains a good body condition.

Pregnant Females: During pregnancy increase the feeding amount during the last 1/3 of pregnancy to 1 1/2 times the amount recommended as shown for the Adult. Avoid excessive overfeeding, maintaining a good body condition, while preparing for whelp and nursing.

Lactating Females: A nursing female can expect to need 2 - 3 times as much food as recommended in the Adult feeding guideline. Adjust the extra food given by the number of kittens and length of nursing. Try to maintain a good body condition. However, with large numbers of kittens, expect to have some loss in body fat for milk production.

AvoDerm® Chicken & Herring Meal Formula is pressure cooked to ensure your cat receives optimum nutrition from high quality ingredients. AvoDerm® is naturally formulated to be complete and balanced with added vitamins and minerals, and other essential nutrients for your cat. Adult cats should be fed once or twice a day. Find your cat's approximate weight on the chart to determine the amount of food you should feed daily. Your cat's age, activity level and environment may require adjustments to the amounts listed in the table. Always have fresh, clean water available for your cat. Available for your cat.

    Very high quality food

    By on

This is a great food - excellent panel of ingredients. I'm glad someone is still making food with grain as studies are showing that grain free diets lead to heart problems in cats. This food appeals to most of my cats and has a good fresh aroma. I am picky about what cat food I buy but I would recommend this one.

    By on

I don't know how long it 'll last because my cats are finicky ,but they have been pretty consistent with this brand which comes in 3 different flavors, I believe .They like them all & even prefer Avoderm to another expensive brand for finicky cats!

Finicky Feline Committee appraises, applauds Avoderm, dry

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

In addition to their standard premium dry, all felines like a diversity to try. Other quality brands ignored with heads high, but with Avoderm, crunching begins because they cannot walk by!

    Looks good but won't eat

    By on

As usual, I'm trying everything I can think of for my 2 adopted Ragdolls and since I don't know what there first 5 years was like, other than eating Friskies dry food, I want to round-out their diet with other foods, both dry and wet. So far, the Avoderm looked and sounded great by the reviews, but my two ignore it totally. More for the animal shelter or a nearby feral cat colony.

    Cat Approved

    By on

I bought 2 bags of this when it went on sale. I have been looking for a good quality food that does not require me to take out a loan just to feed my cats and the 'foster' babies that I took on many months earlier. They seemed to like it just fine, there did seem to be less vomiting which was a relief as I love to walk around barefoot in my house and vomit is Not what I want to step in..lol. Now it did seem to make the litter box smell a little worse or maybe stranger. But they liked it, there was less vomit and it was good food for a great price. I just wish it was still on sale as I have 5 of my own cats and 2 of the 5 foster cats are now a permanent part of my family. So all in all this was I bought 2 bags of this when it went on sale. So far, so good.

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

We changed up the dry food for our two cats. They both like the AvoDerm, so we are sticking with it for now! Seems to be a nutritionally sound choice. We are on our 2nd bag.

    Even Softer Fur

    By on

I would never feed my cats any product with corn in it... have always given them quality food. That being said, AvoDerm has made their fur even softer and shed less. One of them had some flaking but no more. They enjoy this food and it's been good for them!
