Does this require the window to be left open at all times? Concerned about weather elements, and things like bugs getting inside the home.

If you look closely you can see that it sits off the outside wall of the house, not the window so windows can open/close.

My windows have a stone ledge under them, is there a way to mount this around that?

How does it attach to the outside of the house? What damage does installation do to the house?

This cat perch will need to be wall mounted, which may leave marks on your wall.

Does the roof lift up ? For cleaning the catio?

The roof is not designed to lift, but the two side windows of the catio can be opened for easy cleaning.

Beware of opening the box while inside because whatever the material of the top is will shed little black things everywhere and it has a strong cedar scent. Other than that, it was exactly as expected and is made well. We rent / have a stone window sill so we couldn't drill it into the frame but instead just used some random 2X4s to support it from the front. Works well

Fits perfectly over single hung window

Very easy to assemble but need to seek advice on attaching to the house. Once up it was a complete hit with my my kitty!

This is easy to put together and the instructions are clear. It also is fairly secure for the kitty and provides enough room. It was a good purchase and I may buy

Great Purchase!

This is such a good option for adding a catio space to your home without breaking the bank or investing in something larger. Building the catio itself was simple

This is such a good option for adding a catio space to your home without breaking the bank or investing in something larger. Building the catio itself was simple enough, but hanging it did take two people. Our windows are raised so it was a bit harder, but after a few tries we finally figured it out. We opted to use different screws than the ones provided for the initial hanging of the catio; the ones included were a little tricky for us and gave us some grief when trying to install. Overall, all of my cats love this new space and they get to satisfy their natural instinct without us worrying about their safety. Highly recommend!

Easy to ensamble, holds together pretty well, and our 2 cats enjoy spending time there. The only suggestion I would add is for the mesh to have smaller openings

Installed Fiona's catio this morning. It arrived beautifully packed. I've read some complaints about the quality of the wood - it was what one would expect for the price (ok, so it isn't hardwood, it isn't $200.00+). The hardware were all numbered in the packs - no guessing which was which. Instructions were pretty straight forward and assembly was reasonably easy. So, that was bad? Had trouble figuring out the #8 bolt thingies and how they worked in the wall. Could have used clearer instructions or a video. As it turns out, we didn't really need them for our installation on our cabin, so it was all good. Fiona is still deciding if she likes it, but that is just her cautious nature (rescue sweetie), these things take time. We are well pleased with Chewy again!
