Will this collar stop a dog from scratching at his eye after surgery?

Great idea, Cheap material.

Our little cavachon is scared of her cone. She is also only 6 lbs and it was heavy for her little head and neck so we ordered this bc she just got spayed. 5 minutes

Our little cavachon is scared of her cone. She is also only 6 lbs and it was heavy for her little head and neck so we ordered this bc she just got spayed. 5 minutes after getting stuff out of the box and putting stuff together, the zipper broke off. There wasn’t an easy way to put it back on at all, because both ends were sewn shut, but we somehow managed to get it back on. Well, as soon as we zippered it closed and put it on her, the zipper was bursting open because there wasn’t too much tension. We didn’t even inflate the balloon too much. She needs this now, so I don’t really have time to return this and wait for a new one.

Came Wet, Chewy & Ontrac Fault

This is why you can't purchase anything liquid from chewy because all they do is just place a piece of paper on top, and don't bag and tape the top of the items

This is why you can't purchase anything liquid from chewy because all they do is just place a piece of paper on top, and don't bag and tape the top of the items. This was shipped by Ontrac which is the most horrible shipping company around, I mean just look at the reviews. Placed the complaint through Ontrac all they do is say thanks for the feedback. Already emailed Chewy, let's see what happens. But because of a liquid that opened during delivery because Ontrac dented the package this item is now soaked inside. And the box for the items was way oversized, no wonder everything got tossed around. Have no idea how to deal with it except to place it in another box and let it dry. This ongoing situation is what makes Chewy awful most of the time.

Comfortable Donut Collar

This inflatable donut collar was perfect and exactly what was needed for my dog when she underwent surgery. She was far more comfortable in this than the e-collar

This inflatable donut collar was perfect and exactly what was needed for my dog when she underwent surgery. She was far more comfortable in this than the e-collar from the vet's office. It is easily adjustable with the amount of air, velcro, and loops that allow for it to be a more snug fit with the collar. My 6-month old German Shepherd used an XL due to her long limbs and we attached it with her regular collar- perfect fit! It also allowed for her to sleep more comfortably and get around without bumping into everything. She seemed happier with the ability to see and move her head more easily than with the vet's cone.

Again...as in most of my weekly purchases...I lose all Weekly discounts and am charged the FULL AMOUNT and rarely is it 'on time'...this week, instead of receiving my purchases on Sunday...my usual delivery date [Dec.07] ...it did not come until Wednesday...4 days later...so I had to purchase my kitten food elsewhere...an extra expense...so far...they have not done anything about this...except to tell me to 'call back'...and I will receive partial refund on the extra I have been charged...not a great way to do business...or keep business!!

I got this for my one dog for after her spay , I didn't want to use a hard plastic cone , she is a standard poodle and very lengthy , I was hoping this worked out for her & it did , I also put a surgery suit on her during the night along with this soft cone but during the day I just put this collar on her & it worked out perfect , she had no issues drinking or eating or even playing with her toys .

This is a warning for anyone buying this or similar products. We have been using these type collars for many years, they are much more comfortable for a dog than the "cone of shame" and as long as it prevents them from reaching where they shouldn't, this is the way to go. We needed to replace the one we had, measured Teddy's neck and found size M should be perfect and ordered it. It came today, I took it out, blew it up, and the opening was big enough to slip it over his head! It was then I noticed we were sent L instead of M. Now, this wouldn't be the 1st age related mistake I've made but I was pretty sure I had checked the medium box so I went back to the product page, selected M, selected "ship once through autoship", went to my autoship, and sure enough it had changed to large! We called support and they were very helpful as always. The whole point of this review is to say after choosing your size, go to your order page and make sure your choice made it there.

Super Helpful & Comfortable!

This was an absolute life saver!! Our pup had to have knee surgery and she HATES the cone of shame (no surprise there) so we were worried when she needed to leave

This was an absolute life saver!! Our pup had to have knee surgery and she HATES the cone of shame (no surprise there) so we were worried when she needed to leave her stitches alone for 2 weeks. This worked like a dream! She wasn't anxious about putting it on, and even used it like a little neck pillow when she was sleeping. I genuinely don't know what I would have done for those two weeks without this. This did a great job stopping her from messing with her knee while still allowing her to settle and be comfortable. 10/10 recommend.

My cat needed a toe amputation and I knew there was no way he’d wear a cone afterward. I bought this as a Hail Mary, basically, but was surprised that he actually tolerated it. He tried to get it off at first, but eventually gave in and has been fine whenever we put it back on him after his food breaks. When you blow it up, it loses air immediately, but that ended up being ok because it fit him better not 100% full.

Doesn't block access to his water, but keeps him from licking surgical incisions. That, and he looks cute while recovering. Medium collar on 28lb puppy
