About 5 years ago, one of our cats experienced weight loss, vomitting, and was diagnosed with a general category of IBD/IBS. We had him on all sorts of new diet and on the prescription diets to figure out what he made reacting to. We figured that he was allergic to fish and we had been feeding him salmon up to the point. Eventually, I realized that "senior" foods are just better ingredients and less of the bad stuff. If I had to do over again, I would feed them "senior" foods much earlier in life and to stay away from farmed fish actually. Farmed fish is harmful not just to the environment but is also bad for humans due to the use of many chemicals that fish normally would not have if they grew in the wild. For example, fermaldahyde (sp.) to get rid of sea lice and other pest. In the wild, there are cleaner-fish that does that work. My cat still has issues, but it is manageable and he is around 16 years old now. He is healthier today and eating this food.

BROKEN PACKAGING WITH MAGGOTS

i didn’t realize until weeks later (i buy in bulk and didn’t get to this case until recently) that one of the cans was damaged in transit and discovered MAGGOTS
