About BLUE Buffalo

Blue Buffalo began with unconditional love and some furry inspiration from a large breed Airedale, Blue. When Blue's family started a pet food company, their vision was clear. They wanted every pet parent to be able to feed their pet with the same care they would feed family. So they created the #1 natural pet specialty food to help furry family members live happy, healthy lives. Of course, they named it after Blue.

I have 6 cats. 3 have urinary issues, 1 has a weight problem. They all love this food and I love that it doesn't have corn and other stuff that's not good for them. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that it's too early to tell if they like it just because it's different and also whether it actually helps with the urinary or weight issues.

I have a cat who HAS to have urinary care food. He's been on Science Diet CD for two years and been well on it. I have 6 cats and they all had to be on CD to avoid him accidentally eating something else. But it's not grain free and my tubby girl was packing on the pounds even more than before. This food will hopefully help with that. But I really didn't expect every cat to absolutely LOVE it. It's going to cost me a fortune!

My kitty is on a restricted diet due to urinary issues. We first tried Hill’s. He ate it, but it gave him the runs. We then tried Royal Canin. He ate that, but it seemed to cause an allergic reaction (and didn’t really help too much with the soft stool issue). We finally tried Blue Buffalo, and I hate to be too hopeful, but it seems to agree with him! He likes it, and he has normal stool now. His coat is getting softer, too! The food doesn’t have a strong smell, at least not to my nose. And the pellets are smaller than either Hill’s or Royal Canin. The bag reseals easily, so you don’t have to put the food in a separate container if you don’t want to.
