Why should I buy veterinary diets from Chewy?
We offer competitive prices and free shipping on orders over $49. Plus, you'll save more if you sign up for automatic refills with Autoship at Checkout. Chewy experts are available 24/7 to answer any questions you have.
How do I order veterinary diets?
- Search for the diet your veterinarian recommends and add it to your cart. You can purchase your veterinary diets along with any other items you need.
- At Checkout, you'll be asked for your pet's name and veterinary clinic information so we can confirm that the item is authorized by your veterinarian.
- Place your order and we'll take care of contacting your veterinarian. If you have a copy of your authorization, you can expedite the process by uploading a scan or photo of it to the Prescriptions section in your account or your order confirmation. You can also email it to vetdiet@chewy.com.
If your clinic needs more information from you or recommends a different diet, we'll let you know immediately.
I have a copy of the authorization from my veterinarian. Can I send it to you?
Yes. If you have a paper copy of your veterinarian's authorization, you can upload a scan or photo to the Prescriptions section in your account or your order confirmation. You can also email it to vetdiet@chewy.com.
Can I use a veterinarian's authorization if it was written by a veterinarian out of state? Yes. We accept valid authorizations from anywhere in the United States, Canada, and U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico.
Why do I need a veterinarian's authorization?
Veterinary diets are formulated with the precise ingredients and nutrients needed to address specific medical issues. Because these diets are formulated for medical issues, veterinary authorization is needed to advise you on the best way to give them to your pet and to monitor your pet's health while they are on the diet.
Can someone else (such as a caretaker or family member) place an order for my pet?
Yes, but we'll need them to contact us and provide the full name of the pet's owner after the order is placed. This is so the veterinary clinic can locate your pet's records when we contact them. Email us at vetdiet@chewy.com or call us 24/7 at 1-800-672-4399.
Do authorizations expire?
Yes. Your veterinarian will tell us when your authorization expires and how many refills you have before they'd like you to check back in with them.
Can I set up automatic refills? Yes. Sign up for Autoship at Checkout and select how often you need refills. We'll automatically ship your veterinary diets for as long as your authorization allows. If you run out of refills or your authorization expires, we'll automatically contact your veterinarian for a new authorization.
What if I have more questions? How can I reach the veterinary diets team at Chewy?
Email us at vetdiet@chewy.com, start a chat on Chewy.com, or call us anytime at 1-800-672-4399. We're here for you 24/7.

A Worthwhile Purchase
By Noble on Feb 28, 2021
I would definitely recommend this product for cats with urinary issues..our cat had them and this was basically the only cat treat that he would eat..he was given different kinds of snacks and this is the only one he would eat..we had run out of these treats and we ordered 2 other kinds and he would not touch them, he would only eat Royal Canin treats

Cat Approved
By Tina on Feb 12, 2021
My cat had to change his diet due to having struvite crystals. I felt bad that we weren’t able to give him any of his old treats so I was searching for urinary treats and came upon this gem. I’ve got him the Purina Pro Plan, Get Naked, and now this Royal Canin treat. He would not touch the other brands and would only eat Royal Canin. Please do not discontinue making this treat!

Cookies cookies
By Evie on Feb 27, 2021
My cat is really spoiled he loves snacks and I called these cookies and they’re apparently just as good as the other ones that he used to eat won’t mention any names but these don’t hurt his tummy so I’m real happy about that because it saves me a ton on that feels exclamation

Its a Winner
By Bones on Feb 27, 2021
My picky kitties love these. I usually don't bother with cat treats because they never eat them. They are on the Royal Canin Urinary SO which they like so I decided to try their treats. Glad I did. It's a good size bag. Much bigger than typical cat treats.

Cats on Veterinary diets need treats too!
By Bearcatpowers on Feb 28, 2021
My cat loves treats and when he was put on a prescription diet due to urinary issues, my vet said his regular treats were not part of his new diet. I was so thrilled to find these Royal Canin treats that are veterinarian approved - and my cat LOVES them!

They Must Be Delicious!
By NHCHIC on Feb 16, 2021
My 12 year old cat was diagnosed with urinary issues last year and since his diet needs to be totally prescription from now on, his old treats were off limits. Enter Royal Canin Urinary Feline Treats. So glad I found these on Chewy and my cat seems to love them!

BEST. TREATS. EVER.
By Demetrious on Jan 5, 2021
When I first got these, the cats went bonkers. When I did their usual training (sit, shake hand, stand, lie down, etc), they were salivating, their claws were coming out, and they kept accidentally biting my hand because it was like some sort of addictive drug! They've been sold out all month and I am starting to run out of them. They are wonderful for my little baby, Gnocchi. His urinary issues suck, but his diet of homemade cat food, hills urinarycare/stress dry food formula, and these amazing urinary treats keep him happy and healthy :)

Crack for kitties
By WinstonsDealer on Feb 20, 2021
We call this stuff cat crack for a reason. Our cat can hear the bag being opened a floor away while fast asleep and comes running and chattering to get his fix. I just wish they would stop coming in and out of stock.

Cat loves this treat
By Nora on Mar 1, 2021
My cat enjoys this Royal Canin treat so much, I had to deal with a week of him refusing his food because he demanded these treats. I was steadfast and won in the end. He thinks he is the boss.

Lifesaver for FIV+ Kitty
By slindy on Dec 28, 2020
When I adopted my male cat 7 years ago, I knew he’d been diagnosed with FIV, but when he developed urinary crystals a few years later, the issue seemed to be compounded. These treats plus the moderate calorie wet food are what keeps him from peeing blood and expensive 2 am emergency vet visits. And it’s been the case of 5 years now; this stuff works! The other 2 cats in our house, also males but not FIV+, love them too, so we try to ration!
