My 11 month old kitten was diagnosed with bladder crystals in the pet emergency room. I brought her back home with pain medication and anti-anxiety medication she was severely dehydrated. She refused to eat any of the dry food from Hills c/d She hated every single flavor that I tried of the hills c/d wet food. I had to get creative and buy Purina urinary Health wet food, warm it up and mix it with the hills dry food I purchased. This food received very high reviews, so I was very disappointed with my almost adult kitten did not like it at all. She will not eat it at all, it if it’s 100% dry. I had to spend more money on Expensive wet food to make her eat her prescription dry food. Needless to say I’m very disappointed.

I guess correctly when I would need the next bag of prescription cat food. And with the timely shipping method it arrived with approximately 1 week left of the previous order. And with that I can say my cat eats 3.7 ounces per day on average and 1 small can of the wet prescription cat food. His name is Fluffy Jose and he’s a medium size orange male. His weight is a steady 12.8 lbs. and he’s so healthy and rambunctious! And he likes the box the food is shipped in.

It wasn't so much the fast receipt of the food for Otis, it was what came after, for me. A lovely get well wishes card and a little gift of a Chewy mug and tea. Made my day that the employee I placed my order with thought to want to make me feel special while I am going through tough stuff. I would never have mentioned it but had asked that the heavy items be packed separately because of my limited ability to lift things. That didn't happen, by the way, but the gift made up for it. I know she tried. My vet wants me to switch to another delivery company and makes Chewy orders more challenging, which is rotten. I will not be moving my business as long as I can help it. Thanks Chewy!

Our vet recommended this for one of our cats that tends to form struvite stones. He said that it would help to dissolve the stones so that she wouldn't have to keep having surgeries to remove them. He told us to feed the dry cat food and also the Hills wet cat food so we switched about a month ago from what she had been eating. I was very pleased to see that this picky cat liked the food. We’re supposed to wait another two months and bring her back to vet to see if the stones have dissolved, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that this works.

I bought this food after my cat had to be admitted to an emergency vet for a blockage due to a UTI. I think Hill's Prescription food is great to use to help any animal who needs a special diet. Unfortunately, my cat doesn't agree and will not eat this dry food. He will eat the canned food, so that will be the route I go.

I was really disappointed that I was unable to use the discount code for $15.00 off an order that included prescriptions that was sent to the email address that is the one used for my Chewy account. Sammy is one of 5 rescue cats who joined our family and found his forever home with us. His health needs are expensive, and this food is always rapidly increasing in price, but without it, he will again get crystals that lead to bladder stones, and will die because no vet will do another surgery on him for this health issue that plagues way too many cats. A picture of his exact formula of cat food was pictured right above the discount code, and I find that extremely misleading. I will be shopping around from now on instead of instantly going to Chewy.com like I always do. Chewy, your company can do better than this, way better, so be better.

This product changed since my last shipment, and the kibble are now around half the size they used to be. As a result, my cat eats his food much quicker and it leaves him less full throughout the day. No longer serves it's purpose with my slow feeder after 10 years - what a shame.

We have one cat who needs this food for her urinary health. She gained a little weight so a new vet told us to try a non prescription urinary food because I guess this food has a lot of carbs. We switched to the suggested food and she started having bladder inflammation and eventually got an infection. We put her back on the food and her urinary health returned to normal. She does not like many foods but she likes this kind. We are also being more diligent about the amount of food she eats, the humber of treats she is given and how much play/activity she is doing and she started losing a little weight recently. It’s definitely expensive, but she needs this to be healthy and feel good and I will pay a lot for that if I need to. ANNDDD Hills knows most pet owners will pay a lot for their baby’s and they will continue taking advantage of that. So booooo hills for that. But All pet foods brands take advantage of that where they can. so it is what it is. Nothing I can do about that. It works at least.
