The c/d in this products name stands for crystal diet.

Why does this require a prescription if there are no pharmaceuticals contained therein?
Answer by ChewyJul 29, 2021
Veterinary diets are formulated with the precise ingredients and nutrients needed to address specific medical issues. Because these diets are formulated for medical issues, veterinary authorization is needed to advise you on the best way to give them to your pet and to monitor your pet's health while they are on the diet.

Cats love the taste

Our two older male cats have been on this food for the past couple of years. It works great and seems to help with their urinary issues. One of the best changes we have seen is the boys do not throw up their food like they used to do with grocery store purchased food. They love the taste and tolerate it well.

Picky cats

I spent a long time and lots of money searching for wet food both my cats would eat. I found it. Later they we were put on a urinary health diet. Sadly, they will not eat it, no more than a bite or two. Sigh.

My cat loves this!

I usually give my cat the chicken version of this product but I wanted to try something different to give him some variety. He loved it and ate it right up. So now its one week chicken and the ocean fish another.

Hills Prescription Urinary Care - Wet Ocean Fish

My cat Ashfur loves this. We had been been getting another brand but their wet cat food had only one flavor and the cans were getting smaller and smaller, and the price kept going up and up.

Ocean Fish Loved by Cat

My cat, Boo Boo, has to be on a special diet; I have had problems getting her to eat her "special" food as there are three other cats in the home and I can't afford to feed them all the special food. When using the "other" special food, I had to mix it in with another, better flavored food (which probably wasn't good for BooBoo. She gobbles up the Hill"s Urinary Care with ocean fish without having anything else added to it. Better for her and cheaper for me.

GREAT product for us.... but I hate DAMAGED CANS.

The product is great for my female cat who has diabetes, kidney issues, and a sensitive stomach. Her brother, who hates wet food, snuck a lil bit and liked it too! Weird, lol. He might benefit from this brand since he could stand to lose a few pounds. But it's not actually budget friendly lol. I have to buy 2 cases and a bag of dry just so she gets a variety of flavors and textures. Thankful her dietary issues are over. She's happier now. Works great for my diabetic girl who also has urinary and sensitive stomach issues. And my girl likes variety so I am stuck buying two cases to get different flavors, plus the dry.

Delish! And good for your kitty too!

My cat is finicky, so I was worried about changing his food. Fortunately, he thinks it's delicious. It has resolved his urinary problems too. Whew!

My cats don’t like it!

I wish my cats liked the food because I know it’s a healthier choice for them, but they walked away after one sniff!

Just ok. I wish there were other options

Food is just ok. Thankfully, my cats is a hungry girl and will eat anything. But with recent 2 orders I been seeing some strange tendon in the cans which I had never seen before. I'm not sure if the quality is changing. There are definitely inconsistencies between batches of food. Also, the price increase is outrageous. 2 years ago, it was 45 per pack, and here Hill's reports record earnings. No wonder! If my cat had other options and wasn't prescribed it, I definitely would have gotten her something else. There are plenty of quality went food for less money.

My Boys Love this RX food

Dempsey and The Prince LOVE the Chewy auto delivery and the special urinary diet keeping them healthy. Only problem is that this box is not big enough for the both of them.
