About Royal Canin Urinary Health for Cats

Worried About Your Cat’s Urinary Health?

Your veterinarian is the expert on your cat’s health, so you should always consult with this trusted advisor to find the best urinary health solutions for your pet. Royal Canin works closely with veterinarians to develop cat formulas that help support urinary tract and bladder health.

How Can Nutrition Help?

Your veterinarian may recommend a Royal Canin Urinary cat food formula for your cat. These special formulations can:

Dilute Urine

This helps your cat urinate more often, which can help minimize time for stones to form.

Lower RSS

RSS methodology predicts urine crystallization and is used to develop diets that reduce the risk of stone formation.

Maintain Balance

A precise mineral balance can also help prevent stones from forming.

Set Up Autoship for Consistent Delivery

Last-minute dietary changes can sometimes upset your cat's stomach. Set your Royal Canin cat food order to Autoship to keep feeding on track and avoid unwanted disruptions.

Hi, I was wondering when this will be back in stock? My cat needs this special food and I want to make sure I am able to provide it to him.
Answer by SB87Dec 11, 2021
I called today after getting email about my auto ship, I was told within 48 hours it would be back in stock.

when do you think SO in the morsels will be back in stock i have bought the loaf but my cat doesn't care for it.
Answer by tifpwgJan 22, 2022
Royal Canin has a press release on their website which states they are dealing with a supply chain issue. I was told by that they are limiting production to just the SO loaf. There's no timeframe for when the morsels will be available again. I had to switch to Hill's urinary formula beside my cat won't eat the RC loaf.

when will this be available
Answer by DaniMar 05, 2022
It’s back in stock!

What are the protein, magnesium, phosphorous, ash, carb and fat percents for this food on a dry matter and as fed basis?

Half-Filled Cans?

I’ve been ordering this cat food for my senior for a while now. He loves it, it keeps his urinary tract issues at bay. For a while this food was impossible to get at either the vet or on Chewy. I’ve been able to get him the food this year, and all was going well until this most recent shipment. Of a pack of 24 cans, at least 4 so far have been almost all liquid, requiring me to pour off half the can to get to the morsels at the bottom. Typically the cans are filled to the brim with the morsels. Essentially I’m paying for half a can of food. This is unacceptable, especially considering how expensive this food is. I suspect I will be opening more cans like this, as I’m still making my way through the lack I ordered. The following photos are after I poured all the liquid off the top half.

My picky cat loves it!

When I found out that my two year old cat, Chance, was going to need to be on a diet for urinary issues, I was so worried. Chance is THE pickiest about his wet food. After trying two different brands that he wouldn’t touch, we tried Royal Canin and he LOVED IT. I feel a trillion times better knowing that it’s helping his medical issues AND that he enjoys it.

A world of difference!

Our vet put one of my cats on urinary tract support food, and the go-to was Hills c/d. I've tried every flavor and both of my cats treat it like it's poison. We were down to "eat it or die", which is never good. As a last resort I tried Royal Canin, and it's a HUGE hit! Stevie wolfed it down, and my other cat came over and licked out the rest, ignoring his regular food. I'm so relieved that we don't have the mealtime drama every day!

Special Diet w/Rx from vet - Jack loves it!

Vet ordered special Royal Canin Urinary SO to control calcium oxalate bladder stones. Chewy had the canned wet food, uploaded the vet Rx form, setup auto ship and received it in two days. Jack loves the food. Only problem that 2nd auto ship was supposed to be next week but received a notice that it is Out of Stock and was advised to pick substitute. Not going to substitute! Was able to get it through my vet. Not happy and hope I receive notice if/when it comes back in stock.

MORSELS IN GRAVY IS BAAAAACK!!!

THANK GOD this is back in stock. Ever since this went out of stock in October 2021, I've been struggling to keep my two picky cats happy with their vet food. I've been buying them the "Loaf in Sauce" by royal canin instead but they let me know that it's not the same....Every single day my cats made me literally mix 75% of the "loaf in sauce" flavor with the other 25% with water to make a type of gravy on top. If I did not do this, they would refuse to eat it and would just beg for dry food. BUT BABY, MORSELS IN GRAVY IS BACK and I'm more excited than my cats haha. The chunks of meat in gravy are what my cays prefer vs the "loaf in sauce" which was more of a pate. Happiest day I've had in a while seeing that this is back in stock. :) Happy cats, happy cat mama, life is good <3

So pleased

Our cat, Baloo, was put on prescription food due to crystals in his urine. My vet sent us home with a can of royal canin loaf and a can of morsels in gravy. He ate the morsels in gravy with relish, not so the loaf. Unfortunately the morsels in gravy has been out of stock at chewy, and both my vet clinics for quite some time. Chewy put me on their wait list and I was thrilled to receive notification it was back in stock, as my cat would take maybe one taste of the loaf and walk away. A waste of a whole can. Now that the morsels in gravy has arrived his bowl is licked clean. Finally he is eating both his dry and moist food. Thank you Chewy.

Best catfood we ever tried

Both of our cats have always been picky eaters so we were always trying different brands of food. Some, they absolutely wouldn't touch, and others they would like at first and then not touch it after a period of time. When our female cat was found to have a kidney stone our vet prescribed this for her and she gobbles it right down. Our male cat got into it and he loves it too. We called the vet and she said even though he doesn't need it, it certainly isn't going to hurt him and will help prevent him from getting kidney stones. They have been on this for five months now and they never seem to get tired of it.

The Royal Canin Urinary Vet diet has kept my cats healthy for years. I especially appreciate how easy Chewy makes it for me to order this food. Their customer service is excellent.

Cat is a fan

My cat loves this specific food (he wasn't a fan of the loaf version)! We had to switch him to a urinary diet a few months ago, and this food has really helped him. I don't love the ingredients list, but it's what my cat will eat within his dietary needs. I really wish it came in 5oz cans.

Not a success

Neither of my two cats who need this would eat it. My little cat who will eat anything would not eat it either. I will have to donate everything I bought to a food bank for people who cannot afford prescription food for their cats. In the past my cats loved the RC Renal Slices in Gravy but these Urinary Morsels in Gravy - hated.
