About BLUE Buffalo

Blue Buffalo began with unconditional love and some furry inspiration from a large breed Airedale, Blue. When Blue's family started a pet food company, their vision was clear. They wanted every pet parent to be able to feed their pet with the same care they would feed family. So they created the #1 natural pet specialty food to help furry family members live happy, healthy lives. Of course, they named it after Blue.

My dog seems to like this food, I mix it with the dry so he still gets the crunch. With this last delivery, 5 of the cans are so dented, I have to wonder how long they have sat before shipping and how much will actually be in the can when I open it. But the food has been a good choice for the special diet he has to have.

Hated it

Was hoping this change would help my dog to eat, but he turned his nose up at it. When the alarm would go off to feed him he'd hide. He wouldn't even eat frozen treats made out of it. The smell was awful...worse than tuna fish. It even made me nauseous smelling it. Called about it yesterday 7-7-2025...was told it would be refunded (but not yet seeing it) & to please take it to vet's office to donate, which I did yesterday afternoon. They actually didn't even want it but they put it w/ other items they were donating to Pet Pantry.

Perfectly Fine Food

We tried this food after Hills changed their z/d formula. It is a totally fine food, no complaints. Betty’s system did not tolerate it - I think she is just too sensitive to fish and even in hydrolyzed form it is causing a reaction. If it worked for her, would be content just feeding this one going forward. If you are in need of hydrolyzed food, this one is worth a try!

It is filled with vitamins good for skin conditions.

I am trying this because of vitamin content and hope it will help Beau grow back his beautiful coat which was thinned due to allergies.

Dog tolerates

My girl has to be on a hydrolyzed diet and this so far, is the only wet food I can find that she somewhat tolerates. She doesn’t get excited about it and only eats

My girl has to be on a hydrolyzed diet and this so far, is the only wet food I can find that she somewhat tolerates. She doesn’t get excited about it and only eats when she’s very hungry. I have to spruce it up with some added treats because she will not eat it plain. I gave it 3 stars because my girl will eat it but doesn’t really care for it.

We have a 10yr old Havanese that has developed allergies or intolerance that has resulted in sores on paws and lots of licking. No other health issues. She grew up being fed wet Iams canned and people food. Vet wanted us to try this $5 a can food... She loves it, and we are amazed. The stuff stinks to high heaven, looks awful, and needs to be sliced up. Some have complained that the food doesn't fill the can. This is true - but it is very dense food and it is still 12oz, so no one is getting short changed. I weighed a full can against Iams and they ere same weight. It's been about a month and her energy level has increased. Cleans her bowl almost every time. Doesn't need scraps to tempt her to eat. The only other options seem to be dry kibble, so if you are looking for canned, I think this is pretty much it. Do your dog a favor and never give people food. It will catch up with your pooch one way or another... Since I always used to share a bit of my food with her, what I am doing now is putting a bit of this stuff in a little fridge cup and I "share" a piece of it with her when I am eating my food.

My dog loves the taste

This is only wet food hydrolyzed that my dog eats. I tried two other brands prior to this.
