I fed this to my Josephine for about 4 days, and she broke out with these odd crusty sores shortly after starting the new diet. I checked for fleas, and found none on her or her usual haunts for days after the sores appeared while still feeding her the Blue Buffalo. I stopped feeding her the Blue Buffalo and switched back to her usual after a few days over a week. The sores disappeared after a few days off the Blue Buffalo, and no fleas ever manifested during the whole episode.
I have very picky cats and have spent the past 3+ months trying to find something with much better quality ingredients than what the rescue had them on. I had a lot of hesitation about buying Blue Buffalo as I've heard and read a lot of negative comments about this brand. However, this kept popping up as a food to try for cats with digestive issues. After I received the bag I read that a lot of cats don't care for this as it's not very palatable. I wish I would have seen that before I bought it. I'll never know if it would have helped with their digestion as they sniffed it and walked away.
Ever since we got our cat from the shelter 7 years ago (when he was 7 years old) he had always eaten the same dry and wet food. They said he was picky and that's what he liked so we stuck with it. It was Rachel Ray Nutrish. About 6 months ago he started having a lot of accidents to say it nicely. I tried everything. Diarrhea meds for cats, mixing wet and dry, cutting out the wet, smaller meals but every 2 hours, pumpkin puree, etc. I decided to try Tastefuls and mixed a little into his Rachel Ray food at a time until we completely switched over. As well as it always being available, I also add a small amount to his wet food. He seems to be putting weight back on and being able to make it to the box more often.
We’ve seen improvement in our cat who was vomiting shortly after eating. She just gobbles it up. She tends to eat too fast so we’ll add 3 golf balls to her dish which makes her have to work a bit to get to her food and slows down her eating.
I bought Blue Buffalo Sensitive Stomach cat food to help a very stressed cat, who also had stomach problems. This cat food solved the stomach upset completely within 24 hours. All diarrhea stopped, and she looked happier. She continues to do well with this food, and I've switched her companions to Blue Buffalo Sensitive Stomach as well.
This is very annoying. This is the 2ND time this has happened with the last 2 shipments of my items being damaged somehow
I am very satisfied with the bags of this food I’ve gotten so far. My cats weren’t so sure at first because we’ve always used Purina but there’s so many additives in that, plus one of my cats has dandruff and chews at the base of her tail. She started throwing up as well so I tried this to ease her stomach. Now all of the cats love it. It seems to fill them up pretty quickly as well (or maybe it’s not as addictive as all the other cat foods) so we aren’t using as much. I will continue to buy this product.
This brand of food is HORRIBLE for your pet. Do NOT feed them this. This food is FULL of magnesium. Very very bad for your pet. Specially for older pets. It will make their bones expel calcium. The vet thought my cat had cancer after I fed her this food because her calcium count was high in a blood test. Once I switched her food back to science diet we had no more issues. This food should be taken off the shelf and NOT sold or distributed. If you really love your pet. Please reconsider buying this, or switch them off it immediately.
Order was good, but the personalized litter mat was thinner.....lesser quality than a previous one I ordered from Chewy...thought it was expensive for lesser quality
I have been feeding this food to my cats for almost a year now. They all absolutely love it. I originally started using this food because one of my cats was having digestive issues. They all liked it so much I just kept them on it! The only thing I will say, this food is too rich for kittens. I’ve had two different foster kittens on different accounts that had diarrhea when eating this food. I think it may just be too rich for their little tummies!
