Is this good feed for a horse who has laminitis

Answer by ChewyMar 20, 2020
GRO ‘N WIN ration balancer is a suitable feed for a horse with laminitis with only 13% NSC max when paired with a low NSC hay or forage regimen.

Will this help with hay belly?

Answer by ChewySep 13, 2020
Hay belly can be the result of a couple of issues, one being access to lower quality forage. This forage is usually highly fibrous and stemmy, and can cause the “hay belly” appearance as the microbes work to break down the indigestible fiber components in the hindgut. GRO ‘N WIN will help to fill the nutritional gaps that may be missing in that forage, like protein, minerals and vitamins, but to truly eliminate a hay bell caused by lower quality hay, you should consider a better quality forage source for your horse or replacing up to 50% of your current hay with SAFE ‘N EASY Complete.

Picky horse gives two hooves up

Boone suddenly refused his usual daily grain and after several attempts at a new bag, adding water, adjusting the ferriers formula additive, we were still baffled. Another boarder with a horse who has dietary restrictions suggested this chewy product. We borrowed some of hers and Boone ate like it was the last supper. We then ordered up a bag of our own- Boone says two hooves up!

This is highly fortified, nutritionally dense formula for horses on mixed forages and I use this for the performance horses to keep them nutritionally sound and without a ton of inflammation that can be caused by todays processed feeds; and for the growing babies to reduce the chances of OCDs or founder caused by processed feeds today. The horses look great and have tons of energy. Very well worth the money.

I have always been a Purina feeder, but recently it has not been as accessible for me. Just a few weeks ago I decided to try Buckeye’s Grow N Win (after only using perform n win electrolytes in the past, RIP) and I may be a changed lady now, especially after seeing how amazing it’s making these two 16 and 19 year old barrel horses look. They were just stripped of fly sheets and DIRTY in this - but so shiny!

We were worried about switching our fat pony mule to a balancer after he had been eating other feed for a few weeks. He actually loves the balancer and licks his bucket clean every meal. We have also already seen weight loss in him while feeding this and using a grazing muzzle.

Our mare is pregnant, and do in June. It gets pretty cold here in the winter so we started putting her on this to make sure she gets enough nutrition for her baby. She loves it. And the vet says it's a good type of food because there is no extra sugars.

My N/P2 positive Peppy San Badger granddaughter has suffered intense muscle wastage throughout her battle with symptoms, and Gro N Win was readily suggested as a high protein, low NSC RB to fulfill the high protein requirements for PSSM 2. It's mind blowing how much she's filled out after just one bag, and she hasn't had any symptoms return - which is incredible for a commercial soy-based feed. Can't recommend it enough.
