Most prescriptions are delivered within 3-5 days.Carprofen is prescribed to relieve pain and inflammation caused by arthritis and other joint problems, so you can help your dog maintain her regular activity levels and quality of life. Carprofen may also help to reduce pain associated with surgeries and other painful conditions, and works by limiting your dog's production of prostaglandins, which are substances that can trigger inflammation. And since these uncoated tablets have a wag-worthy beef flavor, your dog won't mind taking his medication!

Carprofen is indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and for the control of postoperative pain associated with soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries in dogs.
Carprofen is tolerated well in the vast majority of dogs, and the risk for side effects occurring appears to be less than 1%. But rarely, serious side effects (stomach ulcers, liver, or kidney problems) and sometimes death have been reported.
Side effects that may be serious or indicate a serious problem:
If you see any of these signs, stop giving the drug and contact your veterinarian immediately.
No known drug interactions have been reported.
This class of drug may be associated with gastrointestinal, renal and hepatic toxicity. When nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs inhibit prostaglandins that cause inflammation they may also inhibit those prostaglandins which maintain normal homeostatic function. This may result in clinically significant disease in pets with underlying or pre-existing disease more often than in healthy pets. The use of parenteral fluids during surgery should be considered to reduce the potential risk of renal complications when using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs perioperatively.

Carprofen.

Carprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) medication that helps relieve the pain and inflammation that occurs with arthritis in dogs. It also helps bring relief from other joint problems and can help your pet to feel better after surgery. Carprofen is the generic alternative to Rimadyl, Novox, and Vetprofen.
Carprofen can be given once a day or it can be split into twice daily dosing. Your veterinarian will determine the dosage of medication and the frequency at which it should be given. Give this medication by mouth (orally). Gastrointestinal upset including vomiting and diarrhea may be minimized if Carprofen is given with food. Carprofen should be given at the lowest dose necessary to help your dog to feel better. You should never administer Carprofen to a pet other than the one for which it has been prescribed for.
Chemicals in the body called prostaglandins are reduced with Carprofen. Since prostaglandins trigger inflammation, minimizing them helps decrease inflammation and pain that occurs as a result of arthritis, surgery, and other joint conditions.
Symptoms of arthritis include stiffness, trouble walking, and difficulty rising. These symptoms can be relieved with Carprofen although this medication will not cure arthritis since there is no known cure for this chronic condition. Your dog should start to feel better although results vary in each individual. If you discontinue Carprofen you may notice your dogs symptoms returning.
Also available in caplets and chewable tablets.
Chewy has always had fantastic customer service and stood by their products, but I am really disappointed with these pills. I chose this one because flavored chewable would be easier to give. Unfortunately they just keep crumbling when I try to cut. Already wasted 20 tablets trying to cut! I just bought a new pill splitter, so blade is not dull. I tried to break in half, but they are too small to get a grasp. I did not even think to read reviews for medication before ordering - but now I see there are LOTS of complaints about exact same issue going back over a year. I am surprised Chewy has not done anything to remedy the problem and find a better product to replace this one, especially after so many complaints for so long.
As other reviewers have mentioned, these pills cut when crumbled. I purchased anyway thinking I could try a few tricks to get them to cut - different pill cutters, different knives, cutting slow, cutting fast…. Nothing worked. They have a score line but it barely marks into the pill so it’s useless. The pills crumbled each time I tried to cut them and there is no way I can use these as I cannot accurately dose them for my dog. I would only purchase these if you are giving the full 75mg to your pet!!
The carprofen works great and my dog takes it with no problem. The problem was in the delivery - the box was crushed as though it had something very heavy on top and the bottle was lined with carprofen dust. It was a day late so suspect it was lost.
I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate the Pharmacist and their excellent care they have shown towards my dog and his health. You have all been great and have helped me with Benz's medication and getting it to him as quickly as possible. Thank you so much for that.
I bought these pain pills for my pooch. I was paying almost 3 dollars a pill I read the reviews and I was hesitant because there were a few saying the pills crumbled when being split. I actually did not have the same results. I am very happy
This was very quick and easy . They contacted my vet for prescription and I had it in a couple of days. Meds are working great on my boy who has severe hip dysplasia. He is up moving again.
I longer will purchase this flavored tablets dew to making our Doberman have BAD GAS REAL BAD RUN YA OTTA THE HOUSE BAD.
Quick service, easy to order, customer service is wonderful. I am saving a lot of money getting my prescription with Chewy versus the vet. I was happy to find out that I could do this. It was easy to work with the vet as well
My dog was hurting and needed a refill of pain meds. My dogs leg was hurting and this took care of the V issue while we wait for surgery
The particular brand that you used to fill my dogs prescription even though lightly scored do not cut evenly at all. In fact they crumble terribly. The instructions from my vet is to cut the 75mg tablets in half (half dose daily) however, Ina is suppose to receive only 1/4 of the tablet at a time so I have to cut the 1/2 tablet in half again. Most of the time I end up getting a lot of dust/crumbs instead of a nice clean 1/4 tab. You might look into securing a better brand to dispense to your customers.
