Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

I switched over from clay litter and am much happier with this litter! it clumps just as well, has a better scent and is overall a lot easier to manage. As a fur mom of 4 kitties, they had no problem switching over. I scoop daily and all the troubles from the last litter are gone, no longer do I have to spend extra time scraping stuck on clumps off the box, having to break up large chunks, or deal with a gunked up scoop. Deliveries and box refills are also a lot easier as this litter is way lighter, I no longer struggle to bring in deliveries or refill my storage box. I am able to clean all 4 boxes into one bag and am not stuck with a 3 lb bag to discard. And because the litter absorbs just the right amount and doesn't overly clump, it lasts so much longer. It tracks slightly less than the clay but its nothing a litter mat cant help with.
First, I'm happy to see more natural alternatives to clay litters. The multicat litter has a strong but not unpleasant woodsy scent and is fairly soft on the paws. That being said, it doesn't work for my older cat who produces a lot of urine. Even with twice daily scooping and topping off with fresh litter, it clumps badly to her feet and she drags it all throughout the house and into her bed. I just can't sweep it up, I have to soak and wash her bedding almost daily. Same with the poor cat. She has to sit in a sink of warm water so that I can get the litter out from between her toes. This litter may work great for some kitties but doesn't work for mine. I'm going back to Dr Elsey's crystal litter for Seniors.
I have three ladies who all use the litter box differently and I can tell a huge difference. At first one of my girls had a fit with it but she loves it now. Not to mention I do too. The smell is not bad compared to other litters. It clumps very good and cleaning is a breeze. I have my boxes on hardwood floors but with mats under it and so far by switching my house feels less icky. Also not to mention me cleaning the boxes has a less “ick” factor to it. Hopefully the litter stays around for a long time because we all love it in my household!
I've been using Pretty Litter, but it was getting $$, so I started looking into other types that weren't clay litter, because I loathe clay litter. Read the reviews of this one, so I dove it! Im glad i did. All 4 cats have transitioned well to it, it clumps well, and haven't smelled "a litter box" since we started using it. I will continue to purchase this littler from now one!! Thank you for some litter relief!
I’ve had cats since I can remember. I’ve tried all the litters; clay, silica, wheat, corn, pine… and I like this one best. My cats have reactive skin and this litter doesn’t bother them at all. If you have a cat that loves to dig though, it is not track proof… but at least it is the least offensive when it comes to dust. I’d much rather have pine/ wood dust tracked than clay, corn, or wheat. Those are less fun to step on. This has much better lasting power than regular pine pellet litter too. I would love an unscented/ natural scent only multi-cat version though! I personally am sensitive to fragrance.
After of decades using clumping clay litter and trying numerous alternatives, I’ve finally found my holy grail. Catalyst is amazing. All three of my cats have adjusted to it in a very short amount of time. It’s super soft. It smells great, natural fresh cut wood not Fabreeze. Leave almost no tracks. The litter that does make it out of the box doesn’t leave the mat. N
I was a little concerned about having ordered this litter after reading some of the reviews. I have a 21 cat household, so it was absolutely imperative that the cats accepted this litter. I am switching from a clay litter primarily because I don't really enjoy lifting 200 lbs of cat litter every time I get a delivery and, although 20 lb bags are still heavy, they aren't as heavy and the litter seems to last a lot longer than the clay. I also really dislike scooping the horrible, wet and malodorous mud from the bottom of the litter boxes. I have a lot of them to clean. PROS: Lightweight / Super fast clumping/ Long lasting (so far) / Generally accepted (after a day or 2) / Clumps don't seem to fall apart as much. CONS: I find the initial smell disagreeable (tho it seems to dissipate after a day) / Tracking (what litter doesn't? and as someone else pointed out, at least it's soft)
The odor control is excellent and it clumps well, but it's the dustiest litter I've ever encountered. I wanted to like this litter because the price is great and it is made in America, but I can't stand the litter pawprints on my rugs, couch, bed, and pretty much anywhere else you can think of.
I like it better than other natural wood based litters. The smell is pleasant and it's easy to scoop. the bag is not difficult to carry. It tracks as most litters do. The con for me... it's a bit pricey when you have multiple cats.
The litter is soft as described but it's ability to clump is minimal. And what does clump falls apart when scooped. It also tracks all over the place. The woodsy scent is a plus, and it has minimal dust.
