The scent seems almost dangerous right out of the box, but -

I scoop around it until either someone poops/pees directly on it or it gets really small, or if of course the whole thing needs to be changed out anyway, and it's reduced the odor by quite a bit. I'm a little confused as to how, because I thought it was an odor absorber (because that seems to be how it's working) but looking at it again, it's not. Weird. Well, all I can say is that it's somehow working and I can't smell IT either after burying it, so I hope the cats can't either.

I would not recommend this if used as directed. Placing them in the litter means it becomes covered in litter, potentially scooping it up each time you scoop, gets covered in pee and poop, and your cat can scratch it and ingest it. However, used near the litter pan in a permeable container or underneath the liner of a trash receptacle? They are a strong, long-lasting fragrance that covers odor. I use them under my trash can liners in the bathrooms.

Missy’s litter box is kept in a back corner of my closet and while it doesn’t stink in general, occasionally my room itself wants to hide! I read reviews that were mixed about these but figured the worst that could happen would be nothing, right? I am not entirely sure if it’s my complete optimism or not but at least for Missy, me and my room, these little paws are awesome! I use 2 at a time, making sure they’re laying on the bottom of her litter box at the very end of the box and then cover them with litter. I don’t know how or why, but they seem to be working. The only drawbacks I can come up with are the packaging is a bit awkward and now I’m going to have to keep buying them. Not a bad trade off in my opinion!!!!!

This didn’t make a difference in my home personally. However, please remember not to use this if you have dogs! Sometimes my dog unfortunately wants to go through the kitty litter boxes and it would have been terrible if she’d gotten into this, so I ended up throwing them away.

I think it makes the 'stink' less noticeable in the house. Of course, that's with regular, daily scooping. If you don't scoop, I hear this little deodorizer can only do so much. It seems to last too. I've had the same one in the litter box for a couple weeks now and haven't noticed a need to change it yet (either due to shrinkage or smelliness).

The smell is so pleasant. Wish I could find an air freshener same scent. They help control pretty well. I use a crystal litter. The tidy cat monitoring. I don't have to use anything else. I pop a new one in each week. Scoop daily as best I can. I only have one large part maine coon cat, she's strictly indoor and on a strick iams diet. I've found the combo of food, litter and these works well in our 21 ft trailer to control cat box odor. Let's just say, I've had no complaints.. highly recommend.
