The treats are soft to touch like Crisco, and we would suggest refrigerating or freezing to make it easier to remove from the tray.

This pack is an affordable way to get suet for your backyard birds. The "High Energy" is a great choice for all year round. Birds need extra calories in the fall

This pack is an affordable way to get suet for your backyard birds. The "High Energy" is a great choice for all year round. Birds need extra calories in the fall and winter in order to survive the cold temperatures, but they also need extra calories in the spring and summer when they are nesting! If you cannot afford to spend much money on wild bird seed, these suet cakes and a simple suet feeder are an affordable (and easy) way to help your feathered friends.

Believe it or not, some suet cakes contain artificial flavors and dyes! Yes, if you read the ingredients, like I do, you will see that some - particularly those containing fruit - are made with bad ingredients. Some have also SHRUNK in size, while the price just keeps going up and up (think post-COVID widespread practices here) but these have stayed the same size in ounces. And these cakes by C & S brand contain only good ingredients and while we can't seem to get away from prices continually increasing every year or even every several months, we can choose products that contain natural, healthy ingredients for ALL of our furry and feathered friends!

I have purchased this name brand before at a local well known store that sells foods and products for animals. I purchased this product through chewy because it was easier for me to have it delivered to my house instead of going out to buy it to the fact that I am handicapped. I was very excited to get it to be able to put it out for my birds. I love to watch them eat, and play in their water. I have now had this product hanging for the birds and it is really barely been touched within the time that I received it until now, which is probably about a month or so. Looking at it has very little seed compared to the others that I have purchased in the past. And has more fillers than ever. I would not recommend this product at all. It definitely was not worth the money. And now I’m stuck with all of the rest of them which not even the squirrels are trying to get at it. I’m very disappointed. (as you can see in the picture, they have barely packed at the suit cake and it’s been over a month since it’s been out there. I’m very disappointed.)

A favorite in my yard
