Can someone please explain how I get the perches inside ? Makes no sense

To get the perches inside of the feed, you must remove the Washer (the round disc at both ends of perch) slide it off of the perch with force. Then you will Insert perch through the mesh, and reattach washer. Fill the feeder, reapply lid, hang feeder up & enjoy! This feeder holds 16 to 24 oz nuggets. 3 inches x 3 inches x 11.25 inches high. The dimensions are by length, width, and height.

Can I use birdseed mix in this?

This bird feeder features mesh with holes measuring approximately 1/3 of an inch, which would be too wide to hold most standard birdseed ingredients.

Temporary pricing was great, but was gonna buy it anyway!

I already had one like this I bought locally, but when I could not find the food in stock, I went to Chewy, which is where I get my cat food. Lo and behold, a deal

Lo and behold, a deal on bird feeders...and my favorite bird food was in stock. Great price, perfect bird feeder for bird friends, especially little ruby crowned kinglets

The item was bent vertically, but easilty straightened (rounded) out

The birds - who LOVE the C&S Hot pepper nuggets - did not approach this feeder for a few months. I have to say I was surprised. I inherited a 'can-type' bird house

The birds - who LOVE the C&S Hot pepper nuggets - did not approach this feeder for a few months. I have to say I was surprised. I inherited a 'can-type' bird house with the usual round opening. I had put the nuggets in there and the birds were using it constantly. It wasn't until I removed the 'bird house feeder' that our birds began to use this feeder. I have to say I had NO trouble inserting and securing the perches - an item other reviewer seemed to have trouble navigating.

It really is coated metal, not plastic.

Tube, lid, and hanger are coated metal, the perches are plastic. At first I thought the plastic washers for the perches were too small, but they do fit, snugly

Tube, lid, and hanger are coated metal, the perches are plastic. At first I thought the plastic washers for the perches were too small, but they do fit, snugly. However, the lid is shallow and the hanging loop isn't very secure. As another reviewer noted, best to use zip ties to avoid issues with squirrels if it gets knocked down. I used 3 zip ties: 2 to attach the lid to the frame, and 1 to 'squeeze' the handle so it can't be popped off easily. We shall see if the squirrels are deterred.

So Far Disappointing

I have had no birds come to this feeder. If I put the nuggets on the railing, they will eat them but are refusing to go to the feeder. I have a lot of birds so

Unfortunately, my birds have become spoiled by sunflower seeds, peanuts, and suet cakes. They seem to hardly use this feeder with the C&S Nuggets. Maybe over time,

Unfortunately, my birds have become spoiled by sunflower seeds, peanuts, and suet cakes. They seem to hardly use this feeder with the C&S Nuggets. Maybe over time, they might begin using it in earnest. Never thought bird's (or even the squirrels) would be so selective in choice of food.
