Oral health and hygiene are as important for your pet as they are for you. Because pets don’t brush their teeth, they need regular dental cleanings from their veterinarian. Between visits, pets should be given Dental Fresh every day. Dental Fresh is the “world’s first toothbrush in a bottle.” Its effective formula eliminates plaque, tartar and odor causing organisms.

Thought this was great for my cat with jaw necrosis/dental issues as she continued to drink water after adding DF but noticed black 'gunk' around fountain this morning. I had changed the filter 10 days ago and thoroughly cleaned the motor, fountain and all parts. Upon taking it apart I saw tons of whatever it is everywhere inside. This may be a coincidence as some say a bad filter can cause particles but this was way more than that as a black slime was everywhere. I threw out the solution and won't use again. My guess is (and apologize if company warned against it) it should never be used in water fountains.
We just started using this water additive. My boys are big water fans ~ they still lap up their water like the additive is not there ~ a win in that department. I will update in a few months if their teeth appear to be clean.
My vet says my cat has some mild gingivitis so I bought this to add to her fountain. It is NOT odorless! It has such a bad chemical smell that I didn’t feel that it was safe for her to drink. Hopefully the dental wipes I got work!
Sorry to say my 2 cats wouldn't drink the water with this in.
has helped kill our 20 year old cats horendeous breath quite a bit!!! At least now it smells much better.
My cat loves this in her water plus add some ice cubes on a hot summer day!!
I used this about a year ago and I suspected then that it caused lesions and swelling of my dog's lips. I stopped it and he was fine. Recently, after a teeth cleaning, my vet suggested I start using it again. After 6 weeks, his lips are swollen and angry red. He keeps licking aimlessly and rubbing his mouth on surfaces. He is very painful. I will never even let this stuff across my doorstep again.
No matter how many dental cleaning treats and foods I've used, the Dental Fresh cleaning product is the only one that really cleans my cats' teeth. I use a cleaning pad for both cats and also pour a small amount into their water. Their teeth are much freer from plaque than with other products.
I've noticed that my breath is nicer and not as stinky as it was. (My human doesn't seem to mind my kisses as much.). Not sure if my tartar is any better. Have to wait to see my doctor.....ugh!
I have 6 cats, and a couple have bad breath. they don't really like the treats for fresh breath, so i thought i'd try this. it is working.
