All numbers are on a dry matter basis. Sodium is .31%. Phosphorus is 1%. Copper is 17mg/kg.

how many cups in 40 lb. bag?

A 40 pound bag will contain approximately 160 cups of food. However, Diamond Naturals bags are filled by weight, not by volume.

I see the kitchen location is in the U.S.A. ...Are any of the ingredients outsourced? Or are all ingredients from the U.S.A.? Thank you!

Diamond Naturals uses the highest quality ingredients and manufactured in America in state-of-the-art facilities. This formula uses some ingredients that are not USA sourced, like flaxseed and barley, both which originate in Canada and dried chicory root from Belgium. There are ingredients such as folic acid and taurine that can only be sourced out of China.

Is the food disc shape or little rounds? My pup is extra and doesn’t like the little rounds

TERRIBLE SERVICE. NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT.

The auto ship has been sent early 2 shipments in a row and the second one was put in the system by your customer service. I have now received and charged for 120lbs

The auto ship has been sent early 2 shipments in a row and the second one was put in the system by your customer service. I have now received and charged for 120lbs of dog food (3 bags) in a 1 wk period. I paid alot of money for this service and i am going to discontinue as of this writing. I would like my money returned for the 1 year fee that i just signed up for in December. Too much headache for a service that is supposed to make my life easier. The products are Great, the idea of auto shipping is great( if it was working). I expect the return of my membership in full.

Dog food bags to heavy for seniors with large breed dogs

We love this dog food and home delivery from Chewy. However, we wish Chewy and dog food companies would offer bags that could be “cut” in two pieces to allow seniors

We love this dog food and home delivery from Chewy. However, we wish Chewy and dog food companies would offer bags that could be “cut” in two pieces to allow seniors to be able to lift the bag. If a large bag of 40 pound food could have two sewn seams in the middle of the bag,the customer could cut the bag apart and be able to lift it and the other half would still be sealed until they need it and can lift it. So many seniors have large breed dogs and can’t lift the dog food bags. Or simply sell smaller bags, buy two for the same price as one heavy 40 pound bag, but not twice the price when buyers no small 20 pound bags.

With a lab we all know how hard it can be to choose the best food. Luckily for us- Diamond naturals large breed has my Oakley girl covered. It has joint support, coat support, and clean bowl approved! She’s eats it like it’s the best thing on earth aside from cheese and jerky! I love how it’s affordable but still has high quality ingredients that I know, love, and trust. Five stars for sure from me and 5 stars from Oakley too!

I was buying a different brand of dry dog food which was quite good, but when we adopted another German Shepard from the local shelter, we began to look for ways

I was buying a different brand of dry dog food which was quite good, but when we adopted another German Shepard from the local shelter, we began to look for ways to save on costs. The Shelter actually uses Diamond Naturals. This brand is made in the USA, and has been well tolerated by our dogs as we transitioned them to the new food. This brand is 25% less expensive as well.

Noticably softer coat

We were using a fine, cheaper, food that was good. We were gifted a free bag of this from family, and after a couple of weeks - oh my gosh! Our dog was sooooo soft!

We were using a fine, cheaper, food that was good. We were gifted a free bag of this from family, and after a couple of weeks - oh my gosh! Our dog was sooooo soft! She is a mutt, we just thought she had naturally slightly rough fur. This food made her fur so soft, we were very surprised. We did switch her back to the previous brand, and after a few weeks her fur was much less soft again. So we did switch back to this brand and have been using it since.

Refused to eat this

I mixed this in a 25%-75% ratio with our dogs current food and she spit out every piece. I wished they sold smaller bags to try this out first.

We had our big guys on purina one before this food and they got bored with it. So when we got our dachshund she came on this food and we switched everyone to it
