Diamond has five manufacturing facilities, all located in the United States. Two facilities are located in California, and the others are located in Missouri, South Carolina, and Arkansas.

I see the kitchen location is in the U.S.A. ...Are any of the ingredients outsourced? Or are all ingredients from the U.S.A.? Thank you!

Diamond Naturals uses the highest quality ingredients and manufactured in America in state-of-the-art facilities. This formula uses some ingredients that are not USA sourced, like flaxseed and barley, both which originate in Canada and dried chicory root from Belgium. There are ingredients such as folic acid and taurine that can only be sourced out of China.

how many cups in 40 lb. bag?

Outstanding value!

I’ve done a lot of investigation into the contents of dog foods based on the guidelines supplied by my American Mastiff breeder and almost all of the brands that pass muster are very expensive. Diamond Naturals is on par with those pricey brands for half the cost. Very important when your dog is a giant breed!

Awesome dogfood for the price!

I love my dogs and cats, and I raise a rare breed. Only the very BEST will do. So I search for the best commercial foods to give them. I also make my own dog and cat food with pure meat and eggs, but I'm not rich, so I need other foods also. The is the BEST dogfood I've found for the price anywhere! The major keys for me are these: 1) Is real meat of some kind 1st in the ingredients, and 2) Is the phosphorus content at or below 1%? After many years of research,I've learned that the latter indicates how much of the original protein source comes from actual meat vs meat by-products. The by-products are usually bones, chicken feet and feathers, and such. And the phosphorus content is VERY representative of the amount of by-products that are included instead of actual meat. This is such a major factor that I've turned my customers away from brands that claim to be grain-free while they make-up for it with meat by-products! This is a great dog food recipe - much preferable to the others of this brand. Highly recommend!

Both dogs ended up with diarrhea

I will admit my Great Dane has a sensitive stomach but my Labrador’s is steel. Both dogs seem to like the food, especially the lab, but unfortunately both have had on and off diarrhea over the last month. I thought it was a treat or something else they may have eaten, but after one month of testing on and off of the dry food, it really appears it is Diamonds Natural Large Breed dry food. I’m with my dogs 90% of the time, and there isn’t anything else they’ve eaten that would have led to this. It’s unfortunate as it is a high quality food and a cheaper price. But I won’t take a chance feeding them something that leads to days of really bad diarrhea and dehydration.
