Great toy for a playful 12 pound terrier puppy
Our endlessly playful, 12 pound puppy, Piper, gets into everything. She even jumps over the the cats and swings toys at them wildly, trying to get them to play, sometimes successfully. We have never had such a hyperactive puppy before, and we've had several puppies and dogs. We've discovered that she really enjoys dog toys that require a little bit of thought and effort, like the plush puzzle dog toys where dogs have to get things out of them. She now has four - the Chewys box, the space ship, this lamp, and the chicken coop. This lamp and the Chewys box are her favorites. This lamp can be easy - if we just pop the toys in and gently close the lid ‐ or it can be harder - if we tuck the flat crinkly toy up into the spout and the other two toys against it in the spout and close the lid in a more tucked in kind of way. In any case, it takes her between 2 minutes and 5 minutes to empty the lamp. Then she plays with the plush toys, especially carrying the squeaky plush toy around the house with her. All in all, this is a great purchase.
Doggy niece is obsessed!
Im a huge Disney fan so I have been loving getting my 72lb Staffordshire/Rottweiler mix all the Disney stuff I can. She’s mostly interested in soft toys and bones. I was really hoping she’d be curious about this because I’d love her to have more opportunities to be interactive or get her mind thinking but she really only likes to carry and “clean” her toys or if they are harder, she likes to destroy them immediately. My 13lb doggy niece however apparently LOVES these types of toys and was very excited to play with it during her last visit. My girl is not possessive over her toys and I thought maybe seeing how to use it would intrigue her but no avail. I ended up sending my niece home with it and it’s become a new favorite. My sister says she loves seeing her run around throwing the genie in the air all over the house lol It’s well made and appropriate for both dogs despite their large size difference! I will be getting more of the Disney toys like this - for my niece! :)
Great toys
They are Christmas presents so dogs haven't had chance to play w them yet but mine keeps sniffing in my closet for it.
Odd shape of lamp enhances the puzzle!
My doberman loves these kinds of toys, but they are always too easy. The base of the lamp is hollow and the tapered aspect of it makes it a bit trickier. I stuff other toys in it to make it even harder. My dobe particularly loves to get his favorite squeaky toy so I can hide it in the very bottom and he'll be at it for 20 minutes. When he finally pulls out his favorite he happily and proudly just holds it for another 10 minutes.
very cute and fun
My pup loves these Hide & seek toys, and this one was no exception. Not super durable, but it doesn't pretend to be, and honestly it's worth it cause she carries around the little scraps of the stuffed characters until they're unrecognizable and i have to take them away. Also, the characters are filled with a variety of fun things for her to discover (stuff, squeak, and crinkly), which is a bonus.

My puppy Winnie loves this hide and seek doggie toy with multiple toys includes SO MUCH! She loves finding treating inside of it and also using it as a pillow ! She goes crazy for it and her other chewy box hide and seek toys! Thanks chewy!
