Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off. Not recommended for chew sessions.
I cannot believe ai have been wasting my money on cheap stuffed toys! What a waste. I took advantage of the buy 2 & get 1 free over a week ago, and all 3 are still in one piece! No stuffing all over my living space! Wow! My Maisie relishes destroying and chewing everything, so Kong had saved me frustration and money. Thank you, King, for these “hard to destroy” toys. Seriously!
Mr Benny is a German Shepherd puppy with very sharp teeth and a habit of sitting and disemboweling toys. Most toys have lasted about 3 hours (the squeaker about 1). It’s been a month and Mr Benny is still strutting around with his blue puppy. The ears are chewed down but there are no holes in the toy and it squeaks on.
Monsieur Gaston loves stuffies and this is now his fave! He loves to carry it like a good hunter; he is deaf so the squeaker doesn't entice him to shred this cutie. It has survived many washings in the washer and loves to flip it in the air!
My chocolate lab absolutely loves this toy, she takes it to bed with her every night. I even bought a few back up ones since the other dog in the house likes to destroy toys, and since it was such a hit with both dogs I bought one of basically every animal. I am glad to say that even through daily rough housing all but two are fully in tact after a year and a half. The first one was cut in half by the husky in the house and the second one just lost a leg. I was very pleased though that even with the leg coming off, the rest of the dog stayed in perfect shape.
We bought Mr. Blue for our 2 year old, 95# German Shepherd. As usual we thought it would not last very long. WRONG! Our GS became very attached to him, took him inside, outside, growled at anyone who dared get near or pick up Mr. Blue. She squeaks him every night at 6PM whilst we try to watch national news. The first one lasted over a year, developed a small hole. Now we are on the second one. Oh, I'm not nice to him either. He gets washed with white towels and bleach about twice a month. Great toy!
Nimoy loves this Kong toy. Usually he gets a fluffy squeaky toy and it's destroyed and in the trash within 15 minutes. But Kong toys seem able to last quite a lot longer. This one is going into weeks. He takes it with him outside, runs around the house with it, shakes it, bangs it on the ground and lies on the floor and chews on it for hours. The ears are already gone, but the tail and legs are hanging in there. SO, I only look for Kong brand toys now. Highly recommend them.
I will usually buy Kong toys for their durability. This toy has a squeaky spot. My dog played with it one time for about 2 minutes. She brought it to me because it stopped squeaking. Don’t buy this toy!
So, my cattle dog mix loves stuffies but all she has to do is bite into one to pick it up and there are instant holes. Not only are we a couple of weeks into this one, there are no holes. It is her new fave and she shakes it pretty roughly without any damage
The last 2 toys I’ve bought my shih tzu can’t get her mouth to the squeaker that’s every dog’s mission. It’s just frustrating for her. Probably best for bigger fur babies
My dog, Lily, is a 16-month-old blue nose pit, and tough on her toys. She's a very aggressive chewer, and even large beef bones don't last more than a day. Plush toys are her favorite, but I had almost given up getting them for her since the first thing she does is chew the squeaker out and spread the stuffing all over the house. This one was her last chance. Several months later, this plush toy is still 100% intact!!! No holes, no rips, no stuffing all over the house, and it still has the squeaker!!! Not because she doesn't play with it, because she most certainly does! She drags it all over the place with her, happily chewing on it, squeaking the butt (which I think is an odd place to put a squeaker...lol!), playing fetch with it, etc. She'll even playfully pounce on her big brother, Milo the cat, if he gets near it. I'll definitely stick with Mr. Kong for plush toys from now on!!! Well worth the money!!!
