Mallard duck has a nature inspired design - nice colours and good size for our growing standard poodle puppy. She has been teething with various textures and likes this for soft soothing comfort. Fun for play, chase, carry, cuddle. Good squeaker inside but not as loud as others - also not a duck sound. We have put it through the washer and dryer and it's holding up. We train our dogs to use different carry and bite force, so she's aware of which toys are for different pressures, and is not tearing this to shreds. We think this is great for small dogs, puppies, and the kids love it too. If your dog(s) just want something to tear apart, this is not for them.

Not for large breeds

My golden loved this duck for approximately 15 minutes until it was destroyed. She's pretty destructive so that's not the reason for the low rating. The reason is

My golden loved this duck for approximately 15 minutes until it was destroyed. She's pretty destructive so that's not the reason for the low rating. The reason is that this toy is rated for breeds of all sizes, but she ripped out the squeaker and held it in her mouth - I was surprised at how small the squeaker was! It's about an inch in diameter - we were very worried she was going to choke on it. I would not recommend this for large dogs because it could be a choking hazard when they inevitably rip out the squeaker.

This is a hit!

My corgis love toys for about 5 seconds sometimes! I just saw Jaeger carrying the duck and he likes it enough that he moves when Daisy comes near so she can’t nab it! Jaeger likes toys now and again, but Daisy loves them (until Jaeger likes them that is!). This duck has been a solid toy since i got it! And neither of them have killed it yet! Yay!!

I had high hopes for this, but it didn’t live up to expectations. My dogs destroyed it in just one day, which was really disappointing considering the price. I also expected it to be bigger. The size felt underwhelming right out of the package. The body of the mallard fits into my palm. To be fair, my dogs did have fun with it while it lasted, but I was hoping for something a bit more durable and appropriately sized for the cost.
