My girl Guinevere has had mycoplasma for years. It affects her breathing to the point that, on rare occasion, she cannot eat. This made a really big difference in her noisy breathing, but she still has a bit of noisy breathing. Guinevere did not like the taste of it at all, even though it was compounded in tuna. She was feral when I took her home and although she is much more friendly, I have to put her meds in food. Getting this med into her involved tuna and Squeeze Ups for 28 days. I had to layer everything to try to hide the meds. But, it was SO worth it! She's a lot better now.
I don't know if it is really fair for me to rate a medication just because my cat literally climbs the kitchen door in an attempt to try and get away from getting this medicine. My vet swears by it and there are many good reviews about this medication but it's a real battle trying to get my cat to take it. He hates it!
Made my dog sick and throwing up. Really not recommend if you care about your fury friend
All individuals at Chewy went above and beyond for me in this rather delicate situation. Thanks so much.
The item, though days late, is fine.
This bottle has the insert that makes it easy to fill the syringe without a mess! It is concentrated, so you only have to get a small amount into the pet. Though the flavor added is nice and smells nice, there is no way to hide the bitter taste of the medication. I have an open tube of Inabu Churu creamy paste ready for my cat as a chaser for the prescription, which he really appreciates. He is then ready to eat his meal without the Rx aftertaste. My cat has stomatitis, so he will be on this med for a long time possibly, so ease of filling the syringe and concentration so I only have to give 0.25 ml twice a day is a big deal.
I am very Happy with product and so is my cat :) no refrigeration needed, and at about 1/4 of the price the vet was charging us ! *I highly recommend*
Julie would not swallow antibiotic pill ordered by vet, who did not carry the antibiotic in liquid form, so she recommended Chewy and sent a prescription.
I love everything about Chewy, from its variety of products, prompt service and delivery, and reasonable pricing to the best chinchilla cage ever. My only problem has been the quality of the syringes that are supplied with the compounded medicines. They work properly for only two days before sticking and even pulling apart, making them useless for the 10 day course of medication. And the dose markings wear off quickly, causing the need to guess the correct amount. I would rather pay a little extra for proper syringes, rather than having to make a trip to the drug store to buy my own. But my chinch does love the chicken flavor!
The medicine came in a package that kept it cool. The price was moderate and the selection was large. It did take a while for approval from the vet but that may have been the vet's issue, not Chewy's.
